no, it wont. specially on stock cars. all a vtec controller does is let you chose where you want vtec to engage, but vtec on accords suck, so i wouldnt bother with it.

Don't get a vtec controller on accord motor. Your just waisting your money. It works if you have a h22 but I still think it is still waist of money. Just get a honda data chip for an h22.

go listen to vtec in an h22, tell me if a makes a big diff. not only in power, but in how it sounds an everything. then listen to a sohc vtec, compare em, which is better? vtec soch is like the dumbest thing honda ever did, and besides, ive driven plenty of sohc vtec's accords and on accords, and i cant really feel vtec kick in, unless it has a little bit more than just i/h/e.

I can deffinately hear when v-tec kicks in on my SOHC, after installing CAI i could really hear it. I dont know if there is a power increase from v-tec comprable to that of an H22, but everything about H22's and DOHC is better than F-series SOHC's.
One of my favorite features of my car is being able to punch it to pass someone in traffic and them hearing that throaty growl as I get in front of them.

Ok I am getting tired of listen to this. Accord V-tec was made to get more power without eatting more gas. Accord was not to be made to be a performance car it was made to be a family car. On the other hand the Prelude was made to have some performance so the vtec on the h22 makes a big differents. I would have to disagree the with jdmcord.

and thats why it sucks, that was my main point. and therefore, its pointless to get a vtec controller for an accord.

so basically putting a VTEC contorller on a F22B vtec or any single cam soch engine would be a waist of money an time. But u guys do recomend doing on an H22 cuz is a DOCH and the vtec engagement is stronger Bottom line iz dont waist time on accord motors
