F20B 2.0L JDM DOHC VTEC 90-93 Accord Si-R 190hp

Is it possible to make a 90-93 JDM SIR Accord engine smog legal? I am looking at buying a 90-93 F20B 2.0 L. V-tec it puts out around 190 hp. Or can you rebuild my F22A4 engine to get around 200 hp. Thats all I want. I just want a little more hp. Also does anyone know if they make a turbo auto tranny for 91 Accord EX?

If you want a smog legal 190 hp motor look into a USDM h22a.

Yea I most likely I am going to get a h22. But everyone has one in their accord. I would like F20 because not everyone has one and it is a tight ass Accord JDM engine. but it is harder and hard to find someone to get your car smog illegal.

I do like f20b's also, but they are too pricey. IMHO. The designs for an h22 and f20 motors are practically identical other than displacement

I went to Motor Sport Dynamic's in Sacramento. They are pretty well known in Nor-Cal for installing performance parts or engine swaps for imports. Well they told me they never heard of the F20B. They said they only heard of the F20A. Does the F20B come from the Euro R? or Japan?

they come from japan but they are extremely rare to come by. I just gotmy h22 back and holy shit, getting up to 125 is so easy

125 mph for an H22 is nothing. Wait until you start hitting like 150 mph 160 mph. Shit you will be flying by cars. You might as well put some wings on your car. you might become air born.

I went out racing last night and my little h22 had some surprises for me

I found out i have an LSD tranny, came in pretty handy from light to light. I hit 130, but i backed off because i have stock tires, yes, i have a stock accord with an h22 and i was beating a gs-t, with an intercooler off of lights (once we hit 3rd his turbo got the better of me, but i still had him in the quarter mile by far). I must have got into 8 or 9 races (smoking sotck saturns, camry's, and grand prix's nit included). The best race was a 92-96 prelude si, i had a half a car length on him until vtec crossed over and it was lights out. Just felt nice to have a prelude get smoked by something with a prelude motor. lol.

Remember the 92-95 Prelude Si was non- V-tec. You kinda had an advantaged over him. Because your H22 has v-tec. But that is cool that your car can really kick ass looking stock. I give you props.

Some are vtec, most arent though. I know all my parts that i needed came from a 94 prelude 2.2 vtec. Tonight i got a stab at a 97-01 prelude. should of seen the look on his face when i walked away from him in my car. Priceless. lol

Most the 92-95 Prelude Si came with the H23 non v-tec. But I know some came with the H22 V-tec. the 92-95 Prelude H22 is stronger than the 97-01 Prelude H22 motor. I seen 95 H22 motor put out more than the 97-01 H22 motor. Plus you can play around with your computer more since you have OBD 1. OBD 2 is harder to mess around with.
