    Question should i boost F22B2 or swap F22b1 V-tec ?

I am thinking about boosting my car. The thing is, should i boost it with the F22B2 or should i engine swap a F22b1 V-tec and boost that engine? Because i am about to make a desicion either to fix the trans for $2,000 or put a trans and a v-tec F22B1 in for less then $3,000.

    Opinions are welcome.

u can get a f22a for cheaper than 3000... but boost either one vtec will only give u about 10hp on top of that

whats wrong with your tranny? swap to h23 if you can or something. a tranny shouldn't cost 2k, if your doing labor yourself. differences between the vtec and nonvtec are not enough to swap engines based on power. id rather do a dohc head swap.(JDM F22B can be had for 1050 engine alone, tranny cant be too much more, so $1600, $800 or less for an install, and you have more power then both engines plus the benfits of DOHC tuning and power).

seriously, you can get a perfect condition F22B and a transmission for that much money and still have some left over.

nah nah. 1800$ for the whole conversion. It is the cheapest. But if i replace the trans all i got to do is replace the block after. Then i will have a better F22 and a 5 speed trans that is already there. All have there opinions. And this is my only option, OR i have to sell the car or part it out because i dont have the money Swap motors. My dad is paying to fix my trans so i cant complain. Aight my AR brothers dont be to hard on me. peace.
