Props for bustin out all those engines and specs. I am doing all I can to get that USDM H22, damn check out the compression on it.......10.6:1, will definately have to get some lower compression pistons if I wanna turbo in the future. Anyways, thanks for the breakdown.

I'm not totally sure, but I think the f22a1 and a4's are in the opposite cars. And the f20a was a sohc non-vtec. Other than that, great job, especially with the compression ratios, which other people seem to forget about.

you might be right about the f22a1, but I had a 90 accord and it had f22a1. The f20a is dohc non vtec, that im positive of. I was going to do bore and stroke, but it was a pain to find.

Maybe there's two versions of the f20a. The Canadian variant of the 6th gen Accord LX had a f20a SOHC as it's heart. Though maybe it was only in the Canadian version, but I think the pacific rim islands (Malaysia, etc) got it too. Also, did the C27 have vtec? Just noticed that one.

In 1991 Honda used a different intake than the rest of the models except the EX, and the 140 hp rating for them began in 1991. They used something called IAB, or intake air bypass, that worked like VTEC. At low rpm the valve would stay closed, giving the engine torque, but when the hammer was dropped the valve would open up and give the engine a top end surge.
