it's still a CB7 chassis like the US models, but in Japan, there was the Si-R Accord. It came with the F20A DOHC, non-VTEC motor.

You are forgetting about the F20b Si-R engine also. 190 hp 150 lbs. torque.

Oh I remember that engine, but did they even put it in a 93? I didnt think that engine came out till like 94 or 95 somethin like that, oh wait yeah your right the f20b is in a 93, wait no the sir had a h22a in the sir. Its a 93 model but has the 94 body style I guess. nevermind im lost. Wait I got it.
My ride is a si or a si-t not sure which one but they are both on a cb3 platform and have the dohc f20a. I guess the have a sohc f20a in the 93 accord exl model (weird). The 93 si-r came with a h22a, cause in 93 the f20b was not out yet. But the si-r came with the 94-97 body style, It was called a 93 (I am assuming thats when the body style hit production in japan). I guess we are a year behind or something. Dont take my word for it though. I just recently discoverd the big world of jdm and I am still blinded by the bright lights. I use to know all the models and makes and what engines and options everything had. I seen one japanes motors sight and it just fucked my thinking upside down

OK yeah got it the f20b came out in 97 on the cf4 platform, the sir, sir-t, sir-t s package, sir s package, and the sir euro package all have the f20b dohc vtec. The only one that didnt get that engine on that platform was the lev, which it got a f20b sohc which I didnt know that engine existed until now.

OK this is the last post sorry I got all carried away, hondas tend to get me that way sometimes. To answer your question the cb platform is the 4th gen and the numbers are indicaters of the engine. cb1 carries the f18a sohc with models going from ef, ex, and exl. The cb3 comes with a f20a sohc with models that are exl, and exl-i. the cb3 also has the f20a dohc and it is the si, and si-t. Then there is the cb7 which comes with the f22a and what im lookin at it dosnt give a model refrence.
