Hi all, I'm new to the forums and import cars in general so please bear with me if these seem like dumb questions :) . Anyway, Ive recently aquired a 95 lx sedan with 190,000 on the clock, the car has been in the family since new and its in decent condition for its mileage. I'd like to swap in a H22/5-spd and freshen the suspension up for basic street performance, i.e. new struts, coilovers, etc.. my main concerns are the factors of finding a h22, they seem to be available enough both on ebay as well as from buisnesses but I am having trouble beliving that there are so many "35-45 k mile" jdm engines coming out of donor vehicles. I have some experience with hot rodding and motor swaps, although only with older American vehicles. I dont think a straight swap will be too much of a problem, but I really dont want to get involved with an engine rebulid :). My 'cord is in decent shape for its mileage, the only thing that dosent work is the d. side electric mirror, and the slushbox is on its way out, Id estimate its got maybe 10-20k easy miles of lifespan left. And of course it needs a basic suspension tune/ alignment etc. Anyway, I'd like to hear some opinions as to the practicality of this project, both as to the level of difficulty and expense of this sort of build-up, and whether my old 'cord is worth investing any time or money in, Thanks!

hey man how u doin..well let me just tell you about my car...i have a 94 accord exr and it has about 252 k at the moment..im getting a h22a engine for it really soon...now do i think its worth the effort? hell ya!!! i think that the 5th generation accords are like the simplest accord ever made!! i think u should go for it man...it is sooo worth it...now expense wise...according to my research, youll prolly spend around 3 to 4.5 thousand us dollars just fot the engine swap..now i do think youll have to buy parts as well, such as bolt joints or cv joints as they call it and dont forget suspensions..i think those 2 are the majors ones..sorri i have no idea how much would they be...anyways lemme know what youve decided man...hooefully i kinda help u a bit makin your mind up!!

My advise to you is, "if it aint broke don't fix it" I say try to get the best of what your accord has to give, and if that's another 100k miles so be it. There's nothing sadder than seeing an engine pulled out when it's in its prime!
