In the ballpark .. wut do u pay for a decent paint job?

I recently went to Maaco to get an estimate for a paint/body job. The estimate came out to about $2250 w/ body, labor, and paint only was $700 by itself. What do u Accord tuners think? I went to another place in this warehouse district, and the guy usually charges between $1500 to $3000. Another place for custom paint was close to $4000. Maaco is very questionable as my friend said the quality sucks!!!

Maaco does suck bad. Theyr lowest paint job is like $250. Mid-gade is like $500 and there top is like $1000. I donno what type of job your getting for $2250, but i hope its shaved everything & molded, w/ lambo doors. :)

$1500+ from a reg. body shop (not Maaco) and youll get a prety nice job.

YA, lets just say YOU could do a better job then they would do. Most of the time its a quick tape-up job, little sanding (sometimes) and spray right over your old paint. They also save time by mixing the paint with the clear coat instead of paint then clear coat over it. Give it 2 weeks and its flaking like a mo'fo'

never go to maaco, just check this site out. not a single is good! a lot of the people have filed lawsuits

anywhere between 4 -5,000.00, thats with shaving and some mods ...im talking show quality paint and body work. where are you from?
