I just got all my parts for my brake upgrade on my 93' accord which included: AEM Big Rotor Brake upgrade for the front rotors. and powerstop slotted and crossed drilled rear rotors with aem ceramic pads for front and rear and brand new oem calipers all the way around + new master cyclinder. My problem is this, in the description for the aem big rotor kit it says that they are slotted and crossed drilled. but when i recieved them tonight i noticed that they are only slotted  grrrrrrr. so i got right on the phone with aem and said WHAT THE FUCK!!! the tech there told me that it was a roll-over change that was made about a year and a half ago(slotted only) but it says right on the AEM website that they are slotted and crossed drilled!!!! check out the link at the bottem (i ordered the 2-piece kit, the middle one) so i said to the tech," so basically your telling me that everyone who has ordered this kit from anywhere in the past year and a half, has just gotten screwed, because you guys failed to update your info???" he replied," well i suppose if you want to look at it that way, yes." So i yelled," YES!?!?! YES!?!? Well fuck you then!!!" and i hung up lol. so just so everyone knows in case anyone was interested in getting that kit they are not crossed drilled.http://www.aempower.com/product_brake.asp

whatever, your brakes aren't going to get that hot anyway. slotted might be better because you'll have less chance of warping, or even breaking the rotor now. the biggest difference is looks. if you really want crossdrilled rotors, i'm sure you have a cordless drill. you might go through a few bits, but it'll be just about the same thing.
thanks for the heads up though, i was looking into some big brakes too.

lol i wish i drill was all it would take but it has to be machined with precision and then the rotors would have to be turned again. i'm just pissed because it takes away from the looks a lot. but o well their still fucking HUGE LOL

you might eat through a set of pads, but it would smooth out that surface pretty nice. probably still not a good idea.

i was looking at getting a set of rotors when i put my wheels on, kinda just to fill the wheel out. how much better do you think the aem kit looks campared to just slotted rotors, and painted stock calipers? any pics would be helpful. thanks

check on ebay "brembo rotors accord" or something of the sort for about $220 which includes shipping u can get a set of front and rear rotors so check it out, i'm getting ready to do the same upgrade because it's almost the same price as getting shitty rotors anyway.

well i was going to go that route aswell, but the stock rotors are only 10 inches  so 10 inch rotors and 18" wheels looks like shit!!!! even with 17"s they is still alot of space back there. i would spend the extra money and do what i did and get the aem big rotors. they are 12.5 inches around and they decrease braking distance by 33% and they look mean as hell. the best part about them is you can still use your stock calipers :D

what do those repositioning brakets look like? i'll just freakin make some, maybe even adjustable. then i could throw on any size rotor.

hey unless someone did an engine swap on my car before i got it f22a6 is stamped on the engine block to the left of the headers i have a 92 ex 2door it's the beefiest engine they made for our generation accords right? 140hp is what honda listed i believe, but for sure that's what i got

That's what i thought too, the 92 ex was the 1st accord that had over 130hp the f22a6 put out more hp than the 94 dx and lx model accords i think the only put out about 135hp, of course this is according to honda but that's what they listed on their pamphlets, i believe the 94 ex put out 145 or 150hp, but anyway thanks at least i know i'm not crazy now and someone else knew that the 92 ex had a f22a6 thanks myaccord8urpos!
