Pspec short shifter

The short throw shifter works in two ways. First, by reducing the actual height of the unit. The shorter the shifter is, the less distance it has to travel to get into and out of gear. Secondly, by moving the position of the shift cable. By placing it higher up on the shift lever, it allows for quicker, more solid, crisp shifts into every gear. PSPEC found the compromise between shifter height, cable position, and comfort.

The PSPEC short shifter is provided with a roller bushing and stainless steel nut and bolt for proper operation. You will NOT have to special order any parts from Honda to install it in your car. This all new design is made from polished stainless steel and polished, black-anodized aluminum. New PSPEC shifters have bends that set the neutral position to the center of the shift boot opening. Other shifters do not have bends that set the neutral position to center. Make sure to ask about this when purchasing a shifter so that your car doesn't look like its in 5th gear when you are in neutral.

The PSPEC short shifter is also the shortest shifter available on the market today. It is nearly 2 1/2" shorter than the stock accord unit. Actual shifter throw is reduced by approximately 50% and the shifter creates an overall solid feeling compared to stock. Even if you are not interested in drag racing your car, this shifter improves on Hondas design, and when coupled with the PSPEC shift knob, creates a more pleasurable driving experience.

The PSPEC shifter will work with your original shift boot and knob. The PSPEC shifter and knob use the stock honda thread wich is M10 x 1.5

Pspec Shift Boot

The PSPEC replacement shift boot is manufactured from premium quality leather. We experimented with many styles, textures, and weights of leather before deciding on this top grade cow hide. It is much thicker and stronger than the stock pleather shift boot, but also remains supple and lays out nicely. Not only is it much higher quality than your stock shift boot, but it looks much better too.

The shift boot attaches to the PSPEC tuning shifter with a CNC machined, aircraft grade, aluminum collar. The collar is anodized the signature PSPEC black color and perfectly matches the shifter, boot, knob and the center console.

Because PSPEC was copied in the past, our boot is designed to ONLY fit our shifter. It will NOT fit stock or other aftermarket shifters properly. The inside of the collar on the shift boot and the upper portion of the PSPEC shift lever are machined to fit into each other perfectly. The shift boot is fastened in place with a supplied o-ring to prevent vibration when shifting.

All shift boots are hand cut and hand sewn for a perfect fit to your cars specifications. This is not some universal shift boot that is designed to fit every car. The PSPEC high quality leather shift boot makes a big statement and will enhance the interior of your car.

This shift boot must be used when installing the PSPEC shifter. The stock shift boot and knob will not properly work with our shifter. All components (knob, boot, and shifter) are supplied in the kit.

Pspec Shift Knob

The PSPEC tuning shift knob was designed with two things in mind: Great looks and comfort.

Our knob is CNC machined from aircraft quality, 6061 T6 aluminum. It is then anodized the signature PSPEC black color. After anodizing, it is then placed into a laser printer and the gear numbers are etched out in OEM style font. Once the numbers are etched out, the shift knob is then powder coated with a high gloss clear powder. This gives it a clean, high gloss, stock-like look that matches the rest of the shift kit as well as the black center console of the car.

We wanted a knob that was comfortable when placed in the palm. The design of our knob is similar in shape to OEM Integra Type R / Civic Type R. Notice how the knob tapers down as it reaches the bottom. It also has a broad dome shape. This makes it fit in the hand comfortably with either a top or side grip.

The PSPEC shift knob uses an OEM Honda thread. To be specific, both the shifter and the knob are threaded with the same M10 x 1.5 thread that is used on all Honda cars. The PSPEC shift knob weighs more than the OEM knob because it is made from solid billet metal and the OEM knob is plastic. Our knob also has a stainless steel set screw that is located discreetly at the back of the knob where it can't be seen when installed.
