if you are trying to put on guage faces, it's easiest with the needles on. it doesn't look like they fit, but if you VERY CAREFULLY slide the hole over the needle, and kinda turn the needle to get it to slip into the hole. just make sure you are holding the needle. if it feels like it's going to break off, it is, so stop.
the problem with taking the needle off is realligning the guage properly. the only way the needles come off is straight out. then once you had you stuff together, you'd need to plug it in, and turn the car on. then you'd need to know where your car idles, the speedo's not too hard, how much gas you have, and if you get to it fast enough, the temp would still be on cold.

thanks matts. I just saw my JDM white face still laying around and I'm too lazy to do that. Somebody told me to put hot soldering equipment on the back metal plate of the gauge. And the needle gonna be easy to removed. I don't know.... don't wanna break it

Don't take the needles off whatever you do. Seriously, it's one of those things that no matter what you do, when it comes time to put em back together (if you can get them off without busting them) THEY WILL NEVER GO BACK AND FUNCTION THE SAME AGAIN. The only way to get around this is to get the overlays that you slide over the needle. Good luck!

I learned the hard way. Speedo,Tach,Feul, and Temp plus 4 broken needles equalls 4 or 5 benjamins. Not my brightest moment. :p
