I have a 1991 Accord LX Sedan and the engine finally gave up on me...it has 175,000 miles on it....i also used it as a collateral for a loan so basically I am making payments on it still...should I just give it up or put a new engine in...a new engine will run me about $1100.00 and I still need to smog it get insurance and re-register the car...my income tak should be able to cover the costs barely...

It's up to you man, It all depends on how much you love you car. Im sure if you looked around you could find a cheaper engine.

yeah 1100 seems pricy for a f22

Actually it is $1100.00 for the engine including installation, parts, and labor.

should I save a little more and install a dual overhead prelude engine or should I stick with the 2.2 Liter...the DOHC will run me about another 1000.00 including new computer and parts...
