jdm headlights...

as it says on the thread starter... jdm lights.. i wanna know if $300. for brand new stanley in the box straight from japan is a good deal... casue if so im going ot get them tommorow... an have them installed.. so what do you guys think... an also do you think that it would be a wise investment in getting the H.I.D system as well... ?? any info would be great...

300 is REALLY good. stanley lights are usually between 500 and 600.

the jdm sir "style" headlights should be around $200, but those are made here in america, by someone other than Stanley. The $500 ones are stanley's from japan.
I was wondering if you could get some fake ones, and melt the covers off both stock and the black ones. then if you put the stanley cover on the rip off jdm's it would look like stanley black housing lights. sounds like a good ebay rip-off scheme to me.

or just paint stock ones yourself and sell em as jdm stanlys.....mine came out good enough to fool most

well both of your ideas will work, but i think that the one about the knock off lights..(depo) would work alot better.. why you ask, casue anyone that knows anything about jm lights knows that they are not simply painte it is some sort of insert, therer for swapping out the covers would work since it says stanley on it..(the only thing is i thinkt he bulbs are different then what it says onthe us lights...
an in anouther way you could try an pass off the painted ones to some unsuspecting customer, but when they got them im sure they would notice that they were painted an they could taek legal actions if they new what they had to do..hehehe but it would still be a quick way to make a few bucks....

i was going to do that conversion, but i came across a great deal on these lights an a few other parts... so im going to either trade them for the stuff, or just sell it all on e-bay..i dunno yet..

Does anyone know where i can get any JDM Authentic Stanley headlights? I have 800 bucks saved up for it. I also know that those headlights are from a 6th gen Accord, so i don't know if the ones for the 5th gen Accord are 2 pieces (i hope they're similar to those). well if you want the real deal stanlys, you can either go with the jdm sir two peice lights for the 94-96 accords, or you can go with the jdm sir-T lights like you got in the link there an those are on the 97 an up... those you would need to do some, but not much work to make them fit.. the other ones, are a direct fit... here is a link to some better pics of the one peice lights if you wanna see..

update, i got the lights finaly today.. they told me that they were hella clean, so i went ahead an ordered them.... an when i went to get them they were kind of beat up..(the one light had a nice sized scratch down the front of it, an a few things stuck to it.. i told them that i was not going to pay 300 for lights that looked like that when i could get them cleaner from somebody else.. so they gave them to me for 225. out the door.. so im now the proud owner of some stanley jdm lights... finaly, an they came with the wireing harnesses as well...

can i just cut an splice the wires, or do i gotta change anything else electriclay.. ??

so im going to be trying to get the lights on my car today, is there anything i should know about them before i start an then end up throughing ish...lol.. like are all the bolts going to line up correctly or no.. an also, what do i gotta do about the wirering, do i gotta just cut them an use the stock bulbs, or can i just cut an resplice the wires together an use the stock jdm lights that are there...?? help quickly somebody..

lights are on now.. looks great the only thing is that they point to the left side of the road, this makes since being that they are from japan an they drive on the opposite side as we do.. an ours point to the right instead... can i adjust this with the adjuster bolts on the back of them, or is it always going to point to the left no matter what i do...??

yes got pics, just aint downloaded them off my cam yet.. im going to try an do it this weekend im hopeing.. an in a week or two im going to be taking out the stock jdm bulbs an replacing them with the PIAA super plasma H.I.D. style bulbes.. they are 53 watt bulbs an put out about 112 watts.. or something like that.. im going to be blinding ppl for sure.. they point to the left instead of the right like the usdm lights do...hehehe oh well as long as i can see right...

ya piaa makes some good fogers as well as bulbs.. im trying to find a way to modify a set an put them wehrere the bumper turn signals are not.. so when ther on, they dont look off centered know what im sayin.. (they will be to the outside of the headlights instead of inside(underneath on the bumper)
