I want to get a body kit on my car, and my friend says since I'm going to get a body kit, I won't need to lower my car. But what I don't get is how does putting a body kit on your car lower it? Because I've read on here about people saying how body kits lower your car as well. And when I get the body kit, will I need to buy new shocks to support the lowered vehicle?

a body kit will make your car look lower, but the rest of the car sits at the same height, except if you had a body kit made of lead, that weighed like 500 lbs. depending on the driving conditions you experience, you can put a body kit on, as well as lower it, but i think you'd find yourself scraping just about everything that isn't smooth pavement. if you do this, DON"T get a fiberglass front bumper, you'll crack it the first time you scrape anything. the one thing that lowering a car does, that a body kit doesn't is get rid of wheel gap, well, that and handling performance.

the only way you could get away w/ not lowering your car is maybe if u went w/ 19s....even then im not sure about rubbing issues....

if ur gonna get a kit and you drive ur car everyday....if def go w/ a urethane kit....unless u feel like fixing cracked bumpers all the time....all i have is a 94-95 lip on a 96-97 bumper and lower on eibach springs and i even occasioanlly have troubles w/ scraping going into steap grades....and for further reference....its common sense but if you do get a kit and your entering a steap area...go in at an gle to spread the grade out.....it will make you scrape less or not at all

the one that is on some of the white cars, without any vents or anything in the front is a wings west lip kit. check out wingswest.com
