My 90' Accord has a 94' H22A. When I swapped the motor, I didnt change the fuel pump and the car ran fine. The other day I ran it low on gas and shorted out the fuel pump. I then bought a 94' prelude h22 fuel pump and now my car stalls all the time if I have less than 1/2 tank. It also always smells like gas and Im getting awful mileage. It never did this before and only started doing it the day I changed the pump. I dropped my gas tank again and realized that the pump sits in the tank differently than the old one. Is there anything I can do to fix this? Or should I just exchange the pump for a regular accord one? Does the prelude pump deliver more fuel pressure?

Hmm..... My guess would be to just get one for your actual car. If you want a better-than-stock one try the Walbro version for the Accord. I know they make them but forgot where I saw it, possibly on optauto.com or even Top End. They only cost about $150.
