whats good guys... long story short... i was in a car accident in my girls 2001 prelude SH two years ago... we were on the NJ parkway early in the morning me and her... the road was empty so like anyone else in their right mind, we want to go fast... 65...90...135mph we dont top out, but we decide to back off. we survive... anyway later in the day we jump back on the parkway... rush hour and we are just trying to go a couple of exits down... only going around 60mph when a commercial van tries to take our lane from us... we swerve right to avoid this a**hole and everything is ok, 2 minutes later the guy tries it again!! we swerve right again but this time too far right when we try to regain control the ass end of the lude starts creeping right, at this point no one has their seatbelts on and im ready to kill the driver of the van, the tires hook up and in stead of going the right direction we are doing 60 across 3 lanes of heavy traffic... wasnt pretty, if anyone is from the toms river area or drives on the parkwway you can still see the sweet blue paint all over the center median. hahaa. the driver of the van keeps going! never gets caught so we had to sue our insurance company, so long story not quite so short, part of my settlement im going to blow on this here ACCORD... total were getting around, 500,000- 750,000 dollars between the accident and a case of doctor malpractice/mis-diagnosis!!! we have to be smart with most of it but im setting around 20 G's aside for the ride.

POST WHAT YOU TUNERS OUT THERE WOULD DO WITH $20,000 DOLLARS WITH NOTHING ELSE BETTER TO DO THAN BLOW IT ON OUR ACCORDS

Only 7 letters for you: SR20DET

might as well add just one more letter, and make it a RB26DETT. i'd drop 20 g's just to put that in a 240. screw the s15 conversion, it looks sweet, but people will only see the back of the car. hahahaha

Go for more go less show-Accords are known to be slow.
h22 prelude motor-$2500
most horsepower turbo kit-$2500-$4000/or Supercharger-$3000-$4000
exhaust, intake-manifold, headers-$500-$900
full suspension upgrade-Tein or Nex Suspension-$600-$1200
keep stock rims, but smaller tires: 195/50/15:a lot faster than bigger rims
or go with a 15" aftermarket rim w/ the low-profile tires
custom paint for a little show.
unorthodox pulleys
cam gears
camshafts
je pistons
complete engine rebuild upgraded performance internals
nos-75 shot?
indiglo gauges
ecu hondata chip upgrade
hyperground wiring
hyper-voltage system
upgrade ignition for timing-turbo thats why
at least clock 13's or 14's in the 1/4 mile than go for the show.
show these mustangs whose boss.
just knowing that your car can beat a mustang is a incredile feeling when
you're just cruising the strip. had that feeling everytime i cruise.

You could do an SR20DET swap into a 240 for a lot less then 20 grand. You can buy a front clip for about $2500+shipping and I don't see it being any more than $7,000 total for the swap, and that's including labor. The RB26DETT is a horribly heavy engine and would probably not fit in the Accord because of clearance issues. I'd think you'd have to move the firewall back, which means redoing the interior. It's possible to get an SR20DET out of a Nissan Bluebird which is FWD, thus making it easier to do the swap then the RWD SR20DET or the AWD RB26DETT. He could always add a second turbo to the SR20 anyway.

Umm, dude, those headers and intake would be a complete waste of money if he bought a turbo kit (they usually come with exhaust manifolds and intakes). And if he does a large amount of boost he's going to want to remove VTEC completely. Not to mention the H22A is a horrible engine to boost because of the high compression. He'd only be able to run a few pounds of boost without sleeving and decking it. Not to mention he'll need to replace the crankshaft, connecting rods and rebuild the transmission to handle more power. Oh, and he'll want to lower the compression ratio regardless. There's also the topic of the whole fuel system which he'll need to completely redo for a turbo on an H22a. He'd need new injectors, fuel rail, new lines, new fuel regulator, and a better fuel pump (or two). He'd also want to buy a speciality intake manifold with a larger diameter throttle body then have the intake manifold port matched.

At this point, it is better to just buy an H22 and completely build up the internals and run all motor, because with the turbo you're going to be building up the internals anyway, and the reliability will be better running naturally aspirated.

Just my 2 cents.

Oh, and as far as looks go:

Wings West Type-W Body Kit
Volk Racing GramLight Pro Rims
2003 3.2TL Tail Light Conversion <--- Trust me, it will look awesome.
JDM Black Housing Stanley Headlamps (1-piece)
Dual Beam Xenon HIDs
JDM Accord Power-Folding Mirrors (only cost about $200 off Ebay)

You'll have one of the best looking Accords in the US.
