Thanks guys. Yeah, I learned a lot from my last accord's projects/problems and thru this forum with all the valuable knowledge from other members. Before I started on this project car, I made a list of all the mods I wanted to do, and the specific brands for each part. I then made a list of which parts were priority over the others and then ranked them and just bought the #1 part first then worked my way down, like a TOP Ten list or something. I believe this is a good step into seeing the car's finished results from a blueprint's point of view. Im pretty satisfied on the progress of this Accord. I got most of the "Looks" factor that I planned on, other than the CF Hood->next on the Top 10 List. lol.

MahBlackaccord: Speedhawaii.com gots some good gear going on. I think they are called Vakamon Motorsports now or something. They had a mean s2000 w/ RSR dual exhaust and a Turboed WRX w/ the harley davidson sound in the front last time I was there. Other than that, their clothes are the only stuff I can get cuz their parts are mainly for RWD cars.
Muyo: Thanks bro. Im still trying to catch up to you. lol...

nice. Its always good to see other accords around the world. I heard good things about the opel astras because my co-worker's husband is from holland and used to own one there. I don't think there are any over here, but Ive seen a few Alfa Romeos on the road. Do they have any race shops down there or do you have to order it online and install the parts yourself?

yeah, you got an original accord on this site. Im wondering how that coupe looks like. Ive always liked 2 dr coupes for that sporty look. Ebay gots some good stuff like over 40+pages of accord stuff. Just remember to research the seller and make sure he's got a good record.

Hey dude I love your ride its really freaking sweet....can you give me some info on the mugen lip kit like how hard was it tp put on and ect.
thanks. Ive been getting heads turned my way alot more while driving and even guys walking who stop and stare at it while its parked. Im kind of paranoid now.
-Make sure your front is not too low. The front lip will scrape or even come off gauranteed. Definitely avoid those parking cement blocks. I lifted mine up about an 1 inch in the front for this project and I still scrape the bottom. I will lower the front about 2" over the stock so keep this in mind with you lowered suspension.
Mugen Lip Kit- Bought it off of ebay for just under $300 from seller Hondamotorsports.
Front Lip-Level-Easy.Tools: Cordless drill/Socket/rachet tool set/provided bolts,washers,etc.. Just the take the bumper off, then the stock lip. Position the lip making sure its centered. There will a some tabs on the stock bumper on the bottom that you slide the mugen lip under to support it. Just use a cordless drill and use the bolts and muscle it in. Use the washers also.
I did mine in about 45 mins. due to it raining outside and brought everything in the living room taking my sweet ole' time. and then put the bumper back on.
Side Skirts:Level-Intermediate Tools:Screwdriver, cutting too, cordless drill, screws
Take the stock skirt off. Put the stock skirt together with the mugen skirt and make sure they meet together in the front. Then while doing that, measure the vent area in the rear section because your gonna need to cut around the stock portion to make the vent area flush. Then while the Mugen and stock are together, flushed with the top and front, screw about 4 or screws on the top and one on the front. You may also screw the bottom of the mugen to the stock the same way. Use the white tabs that held the stock skirts or take them off the car and put them on the finished mugen skirts and install it back on using a front to back motion. Then screw another screw to the front to insure extra support. Use those black plastic screws to screw the stock to the chassis.
Rear lip:Level-Intermediate Tools: Cordless drill/ 2-4 of the supplied screws/A lot of Plastic welder glue or super strong adhesive or even fiberglass/Lots of 3mm double-side tape/something to hold the installed lip while its drying on the car
Take the rear stock lip off. Jack the rear up some using the toe hook. Test the rear lip on the bumper before install to see how you want it to set. Then put the 3mm double-sided tape all the way around the lip where its gonna meet the rear bumper, this is where you positioned the lip for connection points in the test. Then, spread lots of adhesive evenly on the bottom-half of the rear bumper. **Remember, the adhesive is supposed to be strong a few 1,000psi and will start the drying process within 4 minutes or so, so be quick within this amount of time**Have someone help you with this project holding the other side while you drill a screw on one side positioning it evenly across then you or the person will drill the other side with a screw. Press the lip on the rear bumper to make they meet or connect. Have something holding or supporting the rear lip while its dries so that it doesn't have carry the weight.
It would be best installing it during the day where's its hot and dry, or in your covered garage out of rain, especially while its drying. Wait at least an hour or so to completely settle, and try not to drive it the rest of the day to make sure it sits on there pretty strong enough to handle bumps and stuff.
Overall: Nice product. Better Looks. Tough on your body and mind if you're gonna do it yourself. I had to do one lip per day due to the weather, complications, and installing by myself. If you have someone help you. You could do everything in one full-day if you have a garage. If anyone needs help just ask. I'll try my best. I hope I explained everything ok.

The swap shouldn't be too tough. Should get a 92-95 h22, and yours is vtec right? A few minor touches with the motor mounts and stuff, and possibly axles would be helpful with the extra weight on the front end and should bolt right up. I think you will a need exhaust piping from the after the header to the cat converter tho'. You might want to upgrade the p13 ecu to a tuned p28 later on. 2draccord and Jbaccord did the h22 swap, so they could be much more informative. Looks like you off to a good start tho'.

haha. I dunno. I guess I like to waste money on my car. lol. I use to give it presents once in awhile when I had a bad day, to make me feel better. I guess. But I just gotta get my air filter from ebay and I'll be finished, I hope..I actually been looking for another set of lightweight rims like 5zigen fno1r-c or Exel f1 16" or 17". The rims I have now weigh a ton, and are counter-productive w/ the jet chip ecu I have, which gave me lots of torque. The suspension I have now, Eibach sportlines, are excellent, perfect for what I want. The koni are yellows are great as well.
Anyways, you're talking about the omnipower coilovers? Those were my best investment by far on any mod Ive done. They were stiff, rode very smooth, and helped a lot going over speedbumps and driveways. I wish I still had them, but they're illegal in hawaii.
i<3jdmhondas
06-30-2006, 01:42 PM
oh there illegal i was wondering why you didnt have them any more
i think im gonna go with some tein ss coilovers after i buy and install a h22 in a couple months when i have the money. ill be pretty proud if i have an h22 and full tein suspension and only a junior in high school.
go with 5zigen. i love those wheels and i bet they would look sick on an accord.

lol. I meant both cops & robbers. haha. Last nite when I took my girl out for her B-day, we walked back to the car after dinner and this guy was trying to look inside against the tinted windows acting all sly and when he saw us he walked away. When I went to use a public restroom last nite all these guys were checking out the car when my girl drove up to pick me up since she waited in the car cuz there was no parking available. I think white sticks out too much. My next car is gonna be dark grey I think. My last accord didn't get much looks I guess cuz it was more steathly with the all gunmetal rims and pewter grey paint slammed. I think I'll make the next accord the same way. :hehe:

out of all of your set ups wich one was the stiffest? cause my teins are a good drop but the front bounces alot, i may change them but i just wanted to know wich one you liked the best i hear alot about omni power but i dont know i kinda want something with an adjustable stiffness but :idunno: let us know what was the stiffest and the softest or your opinions on all them

those all are actually the rotas I was thinking about. Maybe even the track-r. 16" is perfect and most of all those are 15-16lbs each=

From softest to stiffest:
1: Tein S. Tech
2: Racer Design coilover/Tokico blue
3: Eibach Pro-kit/Tokico blue
4: Progress 2.2"/Tokico blue
5: Eibach Sportline/Koni Yellows
6: Omnipower=Stiffest
Omnis are the most stiffest Ive ever encountered but like you said not adjustable. The Eibach/konis are probably the best combo spring/strut so far and adjustable in the front and the rear you can only adjust it while its uninstalled, but 0 is perfectly fine. I feel full-coilovers are the best of the best. I definitely will buy some for my next car with adjusable dampening.

(Omnis)Stiff as in doesn't move. You can go thru everything and the car is leveled throughout the process. The Konis actually seem to not have any give. They're tough tho' and mine are used so I don't know how it would be brand new. Are you looking for spring/strut combo or full coilover?
