Hey gang, I have a 94' Accord LX non-vtec & about 2 months ago I installed 2 brembo cross-drilled rotors in the rear end of my car, keeping the stock rotors in the front(didn't wanna mess w/ pressed on rotors just yet). Ever since, I've noticed a weird clicking noise which I think is only associated with the rear. During the install, I changed out all 4 pairs of brake pads so I assuming that shouldn't be the issue. I guess my real question is, do cross drilled rotors just have that clicking sound associated with them while braking, or could I have done something wrong during my install?
After looking at another thread, I also would like to add, could it be the direction which I installed the cross-drilled rotors?

Yes, cross drilled rotors are directional. Is it clicking all the time?

94-95 rotors arent pressed in if i remember correctly. most brake pads have a little wear clip on them so when the pads are low enough theyll squeal on the rotor making the annoying sound telling u to change them. maybe that clip is hitting the slots or drilled part of the rotor. you wouldnt see it from the outboard side either since the clip is on the inboard brake pad.

the front rotors are pressed in and he didn't say a squeal a click, which could be caused if the is not a shim on the pads!

I know on 94's and 95's only the bearing is pressed into the hub, not the rotor. It is just more of a pain in the ass do then usual bolt on rotors cause you have to do more just to take em off.

Yes, I did say clicking, not a high pitched squeal otherwise I would know what the problem is. And believe me, whether or not the fronts are believe to be pressed on or not, it takes a helluva alot more effort than changing the rears and I want them done correctly. The sound is constant only when braking. It is a quiet, lower pitched sound with a "clicking" associated with it like "The Price Is Right" wheel at the end of the show.
Slotec95, how should the direction of the rotors be oriented?? (I think I might just take a picture to show you how they are looking now)

Check your pads man, like he said, them wear indicators on the pads. They could be hitting something or something of that sort. Check them out.

No, it wasn't my pads. They are fine, I rotated the disks and they are working fine now.

did you install new shimms with the pads? worn or missing shims could give you that noise. on some of our rav4 and camrys you can hear the pads slap on the rotor if they are not seated yet.. i work for toyota now in case any one wanted to know why i used those cars.
