Im bout to buy a fidanza flywheel and i got sum questions. This flywheel is super light 8lbs!!! I know there will be some driveability issues, but in an all out drag race (street race), the lightweight will be an advantage right? The car would accelerate much quicker. What i dont get is someone told me i would lose mad torque, HUH? Is this true, should i still buy it, i want instant throttle response.

Thanks fellas.

Go with a 12.5lb flywheel. The main thing is rotating mass, you won't lose mad low end torque but you will lose some, and torque is something that you need. When you tap the gas the rpms will shoot up a lot faster, and like I said it will help top end but your low end will suffer a little. There is a reason why the OEM ones are so heavy. If you remember anything in physics its called inertia. I tried to explain myself the best I can, I am not good at it.
