I would go with the 3 12" rockford fosgates. It would hit harder. Though i found in accords the bass travels different than in some cars. I'd test it out if possible to see if ya like it first. Bass is bass though... go on ebay and find one of those really expensive lcd units real cheap. If you read all the fine print and make sure you dont get ripped off you can get some sweet deals. go solo baric 15" L7 they hit really hard and you can use a small enclosure so u have room in your trunk for the important stuff (NOS)

i have 2 solobaric S12L5's and only have a rockford 500a2 pushin em and they'll rattle your damn teeth. i've had friends say they can hear me from almost a mile away. a S10L7 can stand over 1000 watts and they are crazy loud. i say go 2 S10L7's or 12's, any bigger they arn't going to hit very cleanly, but damn they can move some air so be ready for em

Yeah Solo's are cool, but I think Audiobahn kicks major ass. Plus its not only the speaker that makes the bass sound good. Its your amp and box. A lot of people just think if they get a few high watt subs then it would be all good. That is not necessarily the case. I have 1 Audiobahn 12" that will out perform dual 12" subs. I've even over powered my cousin and his 15". I'm telling you....look for the RMS watts in a sub, and then make sure its a DVC (dual voice coil) that way you can get an amp and bridge it to 2 Ohms per voice coil and if you have a quality air tight ported box................my god you will be having people losing conciousness(spellcheck).

My one 12" Audiobahn is like 1200 watts. SO i can imagine what 3 of them would do. Better buy some year plugs because my one tears up my lungs when low note hits.

lol, I'm telling you man Audiobahn gets major ass. I just put that dynomat stuff in the trunk too and it sounds even cleaner. People are like "Damn, all that bass and your trunk doesn't even rattle". I see old cadillacs around here that sound hella nasty. They got like 3 or 4 15's in the back but its hella sad when you can hear the rattle louder than the bass. For a back massage and good sound, I definately recommend Audiobahn.

I think Fosgates are good, but the solobaric L7s are dope. my opinion. I run with and old Kicker 12" in a bandpass w/ 400 watts to it and it still bangs. Love kicker, even though Im poor and have a sub older than Bea Arthur.

Alpine Type R 12" with MRV T707 amp does it for me. I also line the bottom of the boot (trunk) with some thick carpet underlay, and covered that with grey carpet that matches the boot interior. No more rattles, shitloads cheaper than Dynamat, and the whole thing matches.

The only thing was I have a 96, so there are bulbs on the lid, and to get to these in case they ever blew, I had to use velcro to attach the underlay to the metal, and it's not as neat as the rest. But still no rattles - and it makes the bass hit harder and cleaner.

Type R's, Fosgate, and Solo Baric's are cool, but if you want some serious bass without having to get a 15" taking up your entire trunk, Audiobahn is the shiggity. Most of the newer subs have a RMS rating of 1000+ watts. Its funny watchin people riding in my car and like every couple minutes, they're scratching their noses cuz the bass reflex is making their nose hairs itch lol. I had a few people turn their heads telling me that my 15's sound good. Then I tell them thanks and that its only one 12".

i've had a rediculous ammount of subs in my cars and they were all pretty good. i've had 3 jl 10w0's, 2 earthquake db12's, 2 earthquake magma 12's, an orion 10, 2 hollywood 10's and now i have 2 kicker solobaric s12L5's. my favorites have been the jl's, hollywoods, and the kickers i have now. i say if you want clean bass that will make your neck hair stand on end go 2 10" jl 10w3's, 2 or 3 hollywood 10's or solobaric s10L7's, 10's are the cleanest and these are all loud as shit.

lol aubiobahn, kicker, and rocford are all o.k. subs but if u want to hear a real sub look into Treo's line-up, or Adire, or RE. I might o.k. the Rockfords if they are Power HX2 but other than that those subs blow.

Bass reproduction is mainly found in the box it's placed in, where its placed, and which way it faces. You will always gain about 2dbl just by facing the subs towards the rear of the trunk. The soundwaves hit the back end first and then flow inside. I prefer sealed enclosures over anything eles in a closed off trunk. If it were a hatch a ported enclosure, with the ports pointed directly at the back glass will rattle fillings loose. I can't stand Bandpass enclosure's, I don't listen to Hip-Hop anymore so it defeats their design. If you want a truly kickass Sub; look for one that requires a diephram(sp). It also depends on where you live in the Nation. Memphis Audio makes some killer stuff but they're more of a South thing only. Earthquake is more in the Midwest area (CO, Wy,). National name brands such as thoughs already mentioned will do the job well.

Anybody remember the company that ships their subs in wooden crates only? Those things require massive amounts of power but Damn it only needs one sub and you can win Ameteur SPL contests.

i got 2 MTX 10's in a plexiglass box, with tubes inside that go up and down to let the bass travel up and not just blowing off the license plate frame. I got 1,000 and 300 watt kenwood amps mounted on top. It kicks pretty well for 10's. make u sure u get a capacitor if u get amps, dont want ur headlights strobing at night.

Audiobahn subs come in those wooden crates. I have a Audiobahn 1200Q that puts out about 700 watts rms. To me I think 700watts is crazy as it is, I don't know, maybe its because I am getting old, lol. But with the right amp and especially the right box, you can really make some nose hairs itch. I put a 10" solo baric into my cousins car and i built a box using HDF and constructed it with just enough air space that the speaker needs, and positioned it to face the rear. Let me tell you, that 10" hit harder than most 12"s. In fact it hit harder than his friends car who had dual 12"s. All because of the amp that my cousin bought, and the box that i made for him.

Well perhaps thats it, but this was some weird name. Huge magnets on these bad boys. I only saw them in the Ft. Collins area of CO. I know its not SoundStream or Blaupunk(sp). Each 12" weighed close to 50pounds by themselves. Kevlar cones and such ish.
