I hear alot about this SRS light being on. Pretty much every HONDA owner I know has this light problem. Is Honda gonna figure it out soon...?
My SRS light has been on SO LONG (about 4 years) that it's starting to burn out and dimming. In my book, that's just sad, especially after I had the "chip" replaced twice. Oh, and every now and then, the "Side Airbag" light comes on. GRRREAAT....So if you have this problem, which you most likely do, you are SOL with me. I give up.

I have the same exact problem. When you say that you had the chip replaced, what does the entail, and what did it cost?

I dont think that the side air bag light is a problem, if it is the passengers side light that you are talking about. I read somewhere that if something gets in the way of the sensor it will shut itself off to prevent injury to the passenger. This happened to me a few times, if my girl leans down to pick something up from the floor while we are driving, the light will come on because she is in front of the air bag and would get her head knocked off if it were to deploy.

The "chip", I don't know... But I didnt pay to have it "replaced"
Actually I got it replaced under recall both times...no one knows about the recall, so what was the point?
As for the side airbag light, it only comes on when someone leans on the door panel... The SRS light means that the airbags will not deploy in a crash, (better than deploying randomly I think)... Anyways, I think after everyone has had this problem, Honda would atleast try to fix it or do something different. That's all.

I checked it out but I cant find the MES Connector, can you? The closest thing I see that resembles it is a blue connector with only 1 wire going in...
