I was just wondering - which pads are the best composition?
ceramic
semi-metallic
or carbon-fiber composite?
I'm sure there's other compositions, and if so - name a few, or if you know a brand that is significantly better than the others, you can post that too. And don't forget to mention why...I just want to know what you all think is the best type of brake pad. Also - what are green stuff and red stuff pads made from? And this may be a dumb question, but do they produce green and red brake dust?

I keep hearing that ceramic are the best because they last longer and are quieter because of the material. Yeah, and Ebc the same things about them too.

depends on what ur trying 2 do for like stopping power n what type of rotors ur using i think semi metallic n ceramic r good for crossdrilled rotors b/c they heat up goood n r a good abrasive 2 stop, there some other new compositions out there now but i can't remember what they're made of, but like i said it depends on what ur tryin 2 do n what ur workin with

I've got the ebc greens on the front of my accord and i hate to say it, but they fade really quick. THey have a good initial bite, but if you don't modulate the petal they start too fade. This could also be due to my rotors. I decided against brembos and went with sp performance diamond cut rotors

KRAGEN/NAPA ...

I have AEM pads & Brembo cross drilled rotors.. the pads are horrible.. They have nooo clamping force. I think AEM are for OEM type applications .. not race set-ups .. Im going to swap to Brembo brake pads when its time .. :cowboy:
