Grinding into 5th

I had been driving around for 3-4 hours pretty hard, and everything is goin fine, but all of a sudden, my gears would grind when i shifted into 5th when i was revving over 4k rpms. it did it every single time, whether i was shifting hard or regular. do any of u guys have any ideas, maybe its my syncros, or the tranny was just too hot or something, im not sure any help would be awesome.

it could be your syncros but you can also try chaning your tranny fluid to another brand ie: redline.

if it does turn out to be the syncros how would i go about changin them out, is it a hard project?

i know i wouldnt tackle a project that like myself. i'll drop a motor in but when it comes to cracking open the trans. that would be taken to a shop.

try redline..ive heard some good things about it. im going to switch to it as well.
