so the pump right above my alternater (power steering pump, right?) has for like the past month been making a sound like the bearing in it is shot...anybody have any experience with this? is there a pully bearing that goes bad, or do i hafta replace the whole pump? can i just grease it? my power stearing still works great, so.....
if i have to replace it, any ideas what other year hondas share this same pump, cus theres no 5th gens around here in the junk yards and i have no money.thanx

yup been having the same problem for the past year... an now it is slowly starting to leask... but still dont have the money to get a new one.. so just recently i ran into a slight problem with the motor mount, it decided to brake an in the proces the bolt that runs between the power steering pump an the alternater snaped inhalf an it somehow managed to knock the belt off of the pump... so i now am power steering less...heheheh if you got a little strength in your arms, then just take it off untile you can afford a new pump (or used).. but it should be fine, like i said it has been like a year for me, an nothing happened yet to it..

so i changed my alternator yesturday, an the noise that i have been hearing was the alternator an not the power steering pump like i had suspected... an the noise i was hearing was exactly like you had discribed it.. like the bearings were shot.. but i was wrong, it was something else.. so i though that i woudl let you know what it was for me....
