Auto Accord Tranny problems

I have a 91 Accord EX. I am starting to have tranny problems. I have 170,000 miles on my car. I can feel that my tranny is slipping in over drive and it shifts really hard now. But I don't have the money to swap out my tranny with a rebuild tranny. Do you think my tranny just needs to be adjusted? Does anyone have any info about tranny problems?

When was the last time you changed/ checked the tranny oil?

I changed it about two weeks ago. To see if it will solve the problem. But it made my tranny shift a little smoother. But it is still giving me problems. Do you think I need my tranny adjusted?

when i first got my 92 accord auto it shifted hard i changed the tranny oil and problem solved i say take it to a tranny specialist to get an estimate of what the problem is, best of luck

Thanks for the help. Do you know if they make a turbo Auto Tranny for the 91 Accord?

I dont really think tranny's get adjustments. I could be wrong though. Also, I don't really have much experience w/ automatics. Sorry. It could be some sensor going bad or something. I dont' really know for sure. Sorry If I wasnt much help. Good luck. Rebuilt trannys are expensive. I just replaced mine (again) about two months ago and it was going to cost me about 1,500-2,100. Almost as much as my engine. SO I just bought one at a junkyard. But yeah, best of luck.
