The kyb's gr-2's will last longer than the stock w/ the sportlines, but they can wear out to the point of failure at any given time. I would say they are ok for now. If they are the same comparsion to the tokico blues, which mine lasted about 2 years, then yah, they are ok for now. Did you buy them yet?

If the struts were on the car when it got wrecked, then I would pass on them. Someone on this forum said that you get what you pay for when it comes to suspension. So, to be honest, I would say go for a better quality strut like tokico illumina, bilstein, or koni yellows. Even the Tokico blues are not too shabby.

or just get some omnipower coilovers! ay birdman? ;) if u got the money that is. I heard Koni Reds are the best nonadjustable shocks and will prob give u the most shock life especially wit a drop up to 2in from the sportlines. Just remember wit a drop more than 2in ur gonna need a camber kit so just keep an eye out when they settle in to see if they go past 2 in. Hope that helped some

Actually, I was mention that to him, but he already got the sportlines, which is pretty decent springs. I was gonna get them before for my late accord, but couldn't find a decent price. Practically any aftermarket strut is worth having on than a stock one. Just keep that in mind.

well. i dont really wanna start a new thread so i'll ask here. im thinking of getting shocks. specifically koni sports (yellows) should i even bother to get the adjustable ones if im not really gonna be racing and the shocks are mainly for comfort?

Well, the Koni yellows are also height adjustable, so you can play w/ that as well not just the dampening. Are you keeping the Tenzo R Springs on? I read your other thread about not wanting to lower it more because of the roads: I have a lip kit, eibach sportlines 2" and koni yellows w/ the lowest height setting and I go thru bad roads everyday. If you play w/ the height and dampening it could be dealt with. A bigger sidewall for your tires will also help with the bumpiness. I got 45 series tires w/ my 17"s just because of that plus the 40 series wears out faster.

yeah i planned on going with that exact setup.

koni yellows with eibach sportline springs.

would you suggest that. as well as when i get the 18''s get 205/45/r18?

Im thinking if i do that ill be covered on all bases. it can be low, look good, and have a very comfortable ride.

also is it hard to change the settings on your konis??

Yeah, I like my set-up a lot. I should've left the rear height on the 2nd lowest setting tho'. As for the tires, I would go w/ 215/40-18. The overall height on the 45 series w/ 18" keep making it an 1" taller, possible rubbing would occur.
As for the koni settings:
Dampening-only fronts are adjustable while they are already installed.
The rears you would have to adjust them before you install them.
Height-you have to adjust before install as well.
So make sure you know what you want before the install. The front dampening is very easy. They give you 2 turning knobs that you just put on turn it clockwise to make stiffer and counter to make softer. then you take the knobs off.

any dampening settings you would recommend for the rears? like a certain "degree" you use? this is for mainly chilling and a very smooth ride.

In that case, I would leave them at "0" or the softest setting. I think that's how it comes in the box. That's what the rears are on right now, for me. Its pretty smooth.
