I am new to the Accord world and this website. I just purchased a 94 Accord LX with 125K, I installed new gauges, jaguar tales, bumper light, sidemarkers and corners. I am still waiting on my 18 inch wheels and halo headlights.

I change out the stock speakers and radio. I kinda grew out of the system thing, with too loud music. I am more of a loud factory type of person. Better sound quality versus volume.

My question is I just got some strut bars. The front went on fine, but how do I get the upper rear and lower tie bars on?

The upper rear seems to be too short to reach... Any help would be greatly apprecieated.

Thanks

Wassup out there? Can no one help me out on this one? I tried the search, but never got actual instructions on putting them on.

I know they should be easy and self explanatory but for some reason my rear upper bar is not long enough to reach. Did ProCarParts send me the wrong rear upper?

Help out....

doesn't it have two screws on each side which can extend the bar? I just did my front upper strut bar like 2 days ago, and i had the same problem at first but saw that there's 2 types of adjustment. One to adjust the up-down on the mounts to the strut tower. 2nd to adjust the length. 4 screws/adjustment all together. Is it possible to post some pics of the strut bar?

Yeah it does have the screws to adjust laterally, but not vertically. The other screws are just to hold the bolt that connects to the bar.

I even tried to use the front bar since is was about 2 inches longer, but that didn't work either.

Also, how does it suppose to adjust. Does the bar suppose to push against the strut tower when tightening or pull? If you know what I am saying... I think pull.

I will see if I can post some pics...

You can see the rear upper and rear lower tie bar are the two at the bottom. I got the front on fine, just having trouble with the other two. Help!!!

The rear upper strut bar is the one where you have to cut away some of the carpet walls to get to the bolts huh?

Yes... I have done that, but those bolts that attach the bar to the black strut tower attachments are to short and won't reach.

So I can't attach the bar to both stut bars.

Its possible that they might have given you the wrong one. I ordered a pair of strut bars before and i was given the right front bar but the wrong rear bar. The rear bar was for a 4th gen accord, so I ended up selling it to one of my neighbors. Is it off by alot? Cuz some of those bars actually extend about an inch or two by adjusting the nuts that secure the main bar.

Yeah, it is off by a lot, I can't even get them close enough to get them to screw into the bar. So ProCarParts may have sent me the wrong one.

I thought I heard somebody say they had to jack their cars up to get the rear strut to come closer to put theirs own.

Also it is suppose to push against the stut towers, or pull them together.

very easy fix get a huge metal cutting bit and drill the wholes larger so you have more room for it to slide right or left and you can thread the center bar farther in. Yeah i know they said bolt-on but its ebay!!!!! how else can you get 3-4 STB's for $40??? Mine didn't fit either so I drilled them and they fit like a charm. The lower one is easy you don't need to do anything but bolt it on.
