resently my engine broke down....i will like some info on what may cause this to happen and how to proven future problem.....

my problem resently is that i had my camshaft and pully cracked.....am still woundering how this could happen, it be the timing belt put on to tight or a fault of a mechanic or false to give to right care to0 your engine

Racing is probably the culprit. causes alot of hear and rapid friction. eventually uilding weak spots in the molded pieces of metal.....mainly cause there is no way to ensure perfect fabrication.

running an engine hard when its cold, starting engine with engine-ran belts already running...etc...not bad when done rarely but if done consistently can cause engine wear..most engine wear comes when an engines cold
