thats sweet, i wanted to do something like that also. mainly to match the blue leds i have in my 4 vents on the dash. looks sweet cuz u kant see the bulb, it just gives off blue light. ill try and get some pics, my friend and i did this one weekend. sorry to drift off topic! but the vent lights are an idea too if youve never heard of it. those would really look good if you change your cluster lights too.

i hope im not too off topic here, but here are some pics of my led vent lights. one led per vent. thats one in the left, 1ea in the middle two, and 1 in the right. theres some leds going down the sides of the dash too. 3 on each side. theyre kinda bright, but your leg usually deflects them. my friend and i had to take the dash and the glovebox off to do this. powered by the fusebox, we put an 30amp inline fuse in the way so things wouldnt go crazy. we hooked everything up to a two-way switch popping out of a slot under the cruise control button on the left side (kind of ghetto, but it doesnt look that bad). i only put them on when im out cruisin on the weekend at night. theyd get played out being on all the time. they look better in person and give off a real ambient light. heh you see my low fuel light.:hehe: fillin up today!!

i'm definitely looking into that, my only issue now is that i need to get the gauges blue too...how would we go about doing that? i already have all hyperwhite dome, map and courtesy lights, but my headunit is blue and all my turbo gauges are blue...soo it'd be pimp to match it all but if i was gonna convert dash to blue too i'd HAVE to get the gauges too...hmmm...

ah, yes that would ideal. ive thought about that same question. if i remember correctly since the last time i took my cluster out. isnt it just a colored plastic film over a standard bulb that gives it its color? cuz the gauges themselves dont give off that color. taking out your cluster will give you many answers.

when you install new gauges you might have to break some things. i installed these nice gauges once. they said they were blue and green with white faces in the day. well i didnt really know what i was doing being the first time. so i took off all the two of the needles before i realized that the new ones went directly over the stocks. it was the engine temp and tachometer needles. luckily i fixed them perfectly...anyway, the new ones didnt fit "exactly" over the new ones. the little stick you push to reset the check engine light was in the frickin way. *sniff sniff* so i broke it off to make it work. i can still use it tho so no biggie. but it was the first time i had to break something in the name of modification. worst part was, the wiring was such a bitch dude. me nor my so called car expert friends couldnt figure out how to wire it so they gauges lit up when you turned on the headlights. i think now you wire it to your dimmer switch? so we spliced some shit, so to make it work u had to turn the headlights all the way on then back on parking light mode for everyting to be on. absolute worse part...the blue was a seagreen and the green, well didnt match my other blues, so reverted back to stock. i wish i had a pic at night but i have one during the day. you can also see in this pic a light bar under the AC controls. it was blue so at night it shown on the people in the front of the car, so chicks could see what you looked like. i also had one aft of the stick so what was illuminated nicely. those are gone replaced by the ventlights now. well thats my story, sorry for the novel. :blahblah:

i think im keeping my hyperwhites, they serve more purpose imo; i really like having a bright dome light.. i mean you only use see them when your door is open. this guy who used to own my car, put a red sleeve over the driverside door light causing a red glow. i was like hmm, so thats what it would look like...but i guess it could look good with some tasteful accents. this guy had multicolored gauges, and multicolored stereo headunit. i was like "ugh!" couldnt he make up his mind?

i'm going to be ordering the blues for the dash lights soon, only reason they wont get installed is because all that soldering is going to be a bitch and i'm lazy
