Ok, I'm really hating my auto. I want a stick badly. I'm about to trade my V6 for a 4 stick, that's how desparate I am at this point... Is it possible to do a swap that will not involve to much modification?

...or is there something that is more compatible?
Your help is greatly appreciated.

werd...it is possible but just look at what this guy had to do to get his to manny:

course there are plenty of people who have had alot less trouble than this guy. I've heard alot of talk about a Dr. Evil transmission being used for a swap in 6th gen AV6's.
I'm not sure what model they used tho. Check out dr. evil's site at http://www.dreviltransmissions.com/
AND there's another guy doing a 3.2 cl engine swap and manny tranny.

similarly, the 94 accord i just bought had a manual swap in it as well. and my cruise control and reverse lights doesnt work. should the maintenance required be done professionally?

:stick:
They are still working those kinks out on the 6th gen but im sure the 5th gen problem has been fixed... thats why when I do the swap, I'm getting the motor with the tranny...that way there is as little modification as possible and everything should work right... :meditate:

actually the guy i bought it from said it doesnt work cuz i have an h22, and the throttle body is different from the usual accord (obviously). and making cruise control work would require me to alter the throttle body, alter throttle cables or some shit, decreasing performance considerably. and the reverse lights he said can be fixed by connecting specific wires from the transmission to one of the plugs from the old shifter harness.

to be specific i would need the accord throttle body to have cruise control back. but again decrease in performance isnt worth it, since i hardly use it.

Can't you pick up a new throttle body for like $250?

possibly, but the previous owner said it would hamper my performance. i have an h22, so u know performance is crucial. i dunno, ill do more research on these h22 swaps. maybe it doesnt do that much. i still need to get my reverse lights working from the tranny swap.
