damn! i have to say im discouraged about my car. i love accords and the 6th gen is my favorite but im coming to the conclusion that is a heavy slow family car with a weak tranny and no low end torque; no matter how hot it looks. but i guess the family relaibilty is what brought me too it. at the end of the day i know its good for a least 200k miles. plus i get great gas mileage.
although being the young man that i am i would like to smoke somebody not potentially get my ass handed to me by a gay ass neon srt. its not even that i dont want to put the work into it to make it faster; thats the fun part. but when the 7th gen comes stock at 240hp and it will take a load of mods for the 6th gen just to get there; i see there is such big a gap in technology/potential between generations i might as well wait and get an 8th gen.
i think in the mean time i will just drive the hell out of my av6 and try to learn as much as i can about mods and cars and when the next gen comes out try to mod that. the idea of building a car up and modifying it greatly apeals to me, but i feel with the gen i have now its not worth putting the work in when the field is so uneven over a few short years. i figure if i cant even beat the next gen of my own car how can i beat anything else. for one i want a av6 with a 6spd, and not so damn far to go to get it to 300hp. you have to admit its a lot easier to make up 60hp than 100+hp. and less money too.
i dont want to just go out and buy a sports car just so i can be fast. the whole thing is taking something that no one expects to be fast and smoking them with it. plus i want a good car and make it better not have a fast POS and not be able to rely on it. with honda i know what im getting. i cant drive a civic though i might as well be in a shoe box.
i dont know. maybe ive been spending too much time on v6p.net. if there is any one that agrees or disagrees with what ive come to believe let me know. if im wrong and its not a lost cause please give me the arguments. if im right see you at generation 8. i only have 65k on my car and a lot of driving to do.
