unless your car is complete show, i think it's a waste of money, not a great ride, very expensive, and heavy as shit...but hey you asked for opinion...

Anyone know the weight comparison between an airride suspension and a stock suspension or say, a full coil over suspension? I know that all 4 of my Tein Super Streets (not including upper mounts) weighed in at about 40lbs.
Actually air ride isnt that bad of a suspension. Sure it is not the best for race purpose, but it is still pretty good. I know there is a company that is making it for track applications. Its adjustable where you wouldnt just have the height adjustments, youd also get the, I guess itd be the dampening force, setting. Sounds pretty good actually. Yes its still not cheap, about 2 times the cost of getting teins, but its still pretty cool. Plus, think of how much easier it is to corner balance your car. Alittle drop on the right, wait lil in the back, there you got your cars weight perfectly balanced in minutes versus spending a few hours messing with the coils to get the job right. Easy as pie. I like pie.
Alot of factory cars come with airbags. They use them because its a more comfortable ride. Mercedes uses them, some Lac's, some Audi's, just to name a few.
Final thoughts, Airbags are for all show cars or trucks and SUV's. Untill someone proves to me that a car riding on airbags can constantly beat and outperform a high performance coil over suspension Ill stick with the coilovers for my purposes.

Import air ride doesnt use bags, just an air shock.

how are the coilovers...i've heard that coilovers aren't that great when I was thinking about getting them...what't the main purpose for coilovers...better ride or better looks?...when I get my accord running again I'm thinking about installing a whole new suspension and converting the rear drums into discs

Coilovers are one of the best suspensions u can buy as long as u get good ones, they will improve handling greatly and they make ur ride look hot and are adjustable
