Damn my car just die out today......[Help Me]

i was in the hight way today driving to my job.....when all of of sudden my car engine stop working.....i didn't know it til i push on my break and it got really hard.....
i was doing 50-60 miles an hour i was in the middle the hight way when my engine stop.after ward i pull over to the side while my car was still off.....pull my e-break and after i try to start it and it start find....and offff it went again, then i start the car again and then i give it some gas when clak it went..............sound like some thing fell off........but never started again



could any body know what could of happen........to my engine

think maybe your timming belt fell off or something..... that would deffinatly make your engine stop suddenly...

that happened to my car - whether this is your case or not - the problem with mine was the ignition switch/tumbler. Where you put the key in to start it. On mine a wire shook loose and killed my car, and when I tried starting it, it would kick up and die. I had to drive it home one day by holding the key forward after starting it...like never let it go back into the "ON" position...I would hold it between "ON" and "START" after starting it to keep it running, so I could drive home - it hurts really bad after a minute or two. I had it replaced and never had the problem since....I was also told that if your car dies while the gas is low, it could be caused by something in the gas tank blocking the fuel line. My mechinic had taken gas tanks apart and found one that was full of cigarettes, and candy wrappers - more than likely a prank or something, but that was incredible to me. So get both checked, or look under the hood and see if you notice a missing belt or something blocking your intake filter....engines don't like all that stuff.

Also - if you have an after market cam or cam gear, and the timing is off, then you could have slammed your piston into a valve. It happens a lot more than you would think, and is expensive to fix. It can actually damage your crank shaft, and oh man - that's not good - so go get it looked at by a mechanic or someone who knows what they're doing, and see what's up - let us know when you find out, so we can have a reference in case it happens to us.

well i just came in from the shop and the problem was my cam shaft cracked
and it broke off from where the srew holds it in.........very sad scene didn't looked goood at alll............any way i dunno how it broke but am in need for a new cam shaft.....and the thing that hold the cam shaft.......where it goes in that make the piston move
if any body here can tell where i can get it........i be so thanksful

they want $435 for just the cam shaft and 85 for the cam pully.......
i need help...if any body can please.........the only other option is the junk yard
that selling me the whole head for $300

well now would be the best time to replace the stock with an aftermrket one.... why not upgrade why the timin is now....look into...unorthadocs, skunk2, an shit like that... im telling you do the upgrade now, your new HP will love you for it....

yeah now is probably the best time to replace the top side of your motor, get some skunk 2 cams and some better valves and springs, upgrade everything youll probably save money on aftermarket stuff rather than OEM from the dealer, and the labor will be the same to get it all put in....

well, i just got the whole vtec head from the junk shop i want like to know what can i do to it before droping in.........well my car is vtec already a ex trim
some one told me to cut the head............. :D

well now i got the engine head from the junk shop and i had to sent to cut to see if the engine head block is goood or not :eek: ..........this shit is running my pocket
300 for labor 50 for head gasket and like 40-60 for engine block clean or cut wut ever they called it................300 for engine head
