your rotors could be glazed over. Go about 40, then push the pedal hard, not nessicarly lockin the brakes up, make sure no ones behind you. This will heat the rotors up and deglase em. Best time is to do this on freeway offramp, when no ones behind you or yeah, just go bout 40, hard brakes, do this a couple times and dont go through any water or youll reglase them. You can do this when ever.
Else if that fails, take em apart, inspect them. Check your rotors, see if theyre warped, you can lube stuff up to. Put that copper paste looking stuff behind the pads, any metal to metal contact points, (that is not brake pad to rotor!) , then take say, litheum grease, or multipurose grease, lube up the sliders for the caliper.
If all else fails find tall places and see if the car flys and get a new one.

does this glazing over have anythinng to do with when im on the highway for a long time like 2 or 3 hrs, not having to use the brakes at all or very little, then need to use them hard the pedal feels real spongy? I was told alot of things could be the problem, shitty pads, cheap rotors and even bad wheels bearing cause the whole hub assembly to heat up

well the slammin on the breaks works for a couple minutes, could it just be because its cold?

hmmm into further experiments, theres a black residue on my front rims(not dust), and the abs light went on and off today....hmmm

brake trolls, they pee on your rims (its black pee ) and make your car squeak. Ive been trying to invent a trap.
When the dust gets wet and settles on your rims it will look like a residue. Its not a grease is it? Check your axle boots. I dont think thats it but you never know. Youd see grease splattered every inside your wheel whell too.

it might just be the pads you're using, i had the same problem a while back when i used semi-metallic cheap-o pads....

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
ok so my brakes be squeeling to say it in a nice way. i noticed some black stuff on my rims, not dust, kind of oilish. yest the abs light came on. turn off car and back on, no abs light. today driving there was a faint pop from passenger (glovebox, engine) were ecu.. are, at the time of the pop, lights inside dimmed for a second, and abs light comes on again. left car running and rpms dropped a sec and lights dimmed and went back to normal. depending on weather im gonna try and check it out this weekend, and ideas.
today, light went on and off when i tapped brakes, and clicking when it came on....... no sign of leaks either.....

ok, the oil on the rims is oil...
brake pads are fine, but why still squeeking?
could be aba motor relay, alternator/batter, or trapped air?

sounds like it might be some sensor, or the fuse for a sensor. if you heard your abs clicking when you weren't braking hard, then somethings up. i'd check all the electronics first.
