Hello, I'm new to this forum. In love with my 90 Accord EX but engine is on it's last days. I would like to put a new engine, but an H22 is expensive and probably too powerful for my needs. I am looking into a F22B1 from a 94-95 Accord EX as it seems to fit my price range. There is not as much information on this swap but from what I gather, it should bolt into my tranny (which is fine) and will require new ECU due to V-TEC.
I know this isn't the most popular swap out there, but if anyone has information on this swap, and specifically on the engine mounts, it will be greatly appreciated. I already know the rear engine mount is a perfect match but what is the deal with the front and left mounts. Do I simply remove the mounts from my stock engine and place on the F22B1?
I'm a bit confused on this issue and need some guidance.

F22B is practically a drop in swap. I think a 90 ex is internal coil and the f22b1 *might* be external. Im not too familiar with f22b1/2. The harnesses connectors may not match up with the 4th gen wiring and you'll need to add wires for the vtec solenoid and vtec oil pressure switch if you use the 4th gen wiring. I think 5th gens also have a MAF sensor on/near the intake. Other than that I couldnt think of anything else.

I am currently swapping the f22b1 into my 90 accord and i am having trouble with the map sensor and i was wondering which map sensor to use, and if i use the stock map sensor on the firewall then how do i route the vacuum hoses from the new intake manifold?

just use the stock MAP on the firewall and use the stock vacuum hose. connect it to a port near the trottle body just like the stock one. it wont matter which port you use. it just measures the pressure of the manifold.

the f22b1 is a internal coil so you have to wire that. the wireing is completely different so you have to use the b1's, and the motor mounts for the motor in your car will not go on the b1. it will bolt up to your tranny that is one thing that is the same.

90 accords are internal coil already so the wiring is the same, 92-93 accords were external. and the mounts should work just fine. i have my accord mounts bolted to my h22

chito, how much are you looking to spend on the f22b1/2? You might want to consider a F22B, it is an easier swap then the f22b1/2.

If i were you i would read the thread about the f20 because they are cheap on ebay and are a direct drop in wiring and all.
