well, if u go to autozone or advanced auto they should sell manuals for all kinds of cars, and the accords is in there.....i havent done it yet, but im pretty sure i just read that to check it...there is a check bolt under the car on/near the tranny to check the level...similar to the drain plug on the oil pan.....um thats all i remeber right now...but if u pick up that manual it will help u alot in the lng run...has pics etc....

Chiltons is better if you have a basic knowledge of cars to begine with and it won't explain some of the simple steps in great detail. The Haynes is more for beginers and explains everything and even has alot of pictures to help you. And if you want to do a true tranny fluid change you are going to need to take it too a shop b/c even when you drop the pan not all of the transmission fluid drains out. Shops have a special machine that with allow all of the transmission fluid to be drained and refilled.

They do have a pan under the gear box that the gears dip into to keep lubed up, however manuals don't have a trans filter like automatics, and now that I think about it on a 5 speed you should be able to drain all the fluid thru the pan instead of taking it to a shop.

wuts up, i have dont this before so i can tell u exactly how to do it. This is wut i did to change the tranny oil on my 94 lx 5 speed. Put the car on a lift and look for a plug like the oil plug, is should be located on the tranny pan under the tranny. Definetly double check it, but im pretty sure ur gonna have to use 10w 30 in the tranny, check the car manual though. Ur gonna need a suction pump wich is a cyclinder object with a hole at one end and a push handle at the other. wut u do is drain the old tranny oil like a regular oil change, then fill the suction pump up with oil and inject the new oil in the tranny. u know its full when u can stick ur finger in the hole were the plug goes and feel oil. Dont overfill the pan or your oil will bubble up and u dont want that. U knoq u overfilled when the oil spills out through the hole were the plug goes. if u overfill just suck some of the oil out with the suction pump.

Ok now, even though this is the process for a B18C1, it is very similar to what you have in store for ya.. I was going to do mine, but after inspection, I said to hell with it.. It is alot of work that I would rather spend on cooler shit, so I am just taking it in. I usually do ALL the work on it, but this is too tedious.
-I have my first real set up race next week against a passat VR6 (stock I believe. - 190 @ 6,000 - 2.8L V6) -I already got him so beat, but I still want everything to be ready. I still have a crank pulley, fuel filter, injectors, motor mount, and have to adjust valves before sat. So, needless to say, I have no time for tranny fluid.
But try it if you have the time/patience - http://www.c-speedracing.com/howto/transfluid/transfluid.php

The tranny fluid was just drained out my accord a couple months back, I should be able to help you out. I started off by buying the tranny fluid from the autoparts but it ended up being too thick, my car has 73,000 miles encounting. So I bought the genuine fluid from the honda dealership which made a difference,(a good one). Other than that, you are going to need the kit with the pump and the plastic hose to fill the pan once the old fluid has been drained. Remember that there is a fill and drain bolt, they are both located on the passenger side of the car, pointing out; the lower one is the drain bolt, (see the manual to make sure). Once you locate the bolts everything should be cool. You will probably need two quarts.
