Okay, so this fucking, fat bitch hore driving an old Bronco pulls out of her parking and rams my car's trunk door. The fat ass, soon to be dead by a quadruple bypass surgery from her heart just burns rubber and has the nerve to leave when i come out of my car. I threw a big ass rock on her back window, completely shattering it to make her come back, but the cholesterol packed fat sack didn't turn back and just left. I'm so pissed off right now. Well anyways, I checked my car and just the trunk seems to be bent badly, but i was able to take it off. I went to some junkyards to find a replacement and i only found 94-95 trunk doors. Are they a direct bolt on to a 97 4 door accord or do they have different dimensions?

i would have to say it would fit. i got a hood from a 97 accord and it fit fine. i could be wrong though, there are a few guys on here that have extensive part referencing knowledge...............anybody???!?!?

if ur talking about the trunk lid be interchangeable the answer is definately no.....the trunks are shaped completely differently...the 96-97 actually has lights on the edge of the lid......meaning 2 peices to each tail light....the 94-95 has a single tail light on each side...and nothing on the trunk

don't take my word on this, but i'm pretty sure that the trunk lid would fit. i know the taillights are different, but i was taking with mike about this on the old forum, because i like the 96/97 taillights better, and i think i remember him saying that the trunk lids are interchangable. and i have seen 96/97 lights (just the outer portion) on a 94/95 without modification.

my arguement....
heres a better pic...

if ulook closely at the angle where the tail light meets the trunk....the 94-95 cuts in towards the middle of the car more.
where as the 96-97....
http://www.accordracing.com/photogallery/1994-1997/more/pic.asp?picc=13
follows the same angle all the way down
also....i know for a fact the rear bumpers arent not swappable...so in saying that...if u look at how far down the 96-97trunk lid is cut into the bumper design....and then compare it to the more shallow cut in of the 94-95....i think it looks off too....
im sure you ccaann swap them w/ a little work tho...

94-97.....\
hood an doors swpable....
bumpers an trunk nt swapable... the trunk hs a slightly different angle to it like noted in the last post.... (the angle i talking about is the one along where the lights are..) it is to slanted to line upat all... at least that is i my eyes.. never tryed it though..

yea, good pics. they still might be swappable, but the taillights def. wouldn't line up. it looks like either that, or the trunk lid comes down just a little more on the 96/97.

I don't care about the lights that much. I can easily put the back-up lights onto the other white housing of the turn signals;) , but judging by the pictures, it does seem like if the 96-97 trunk lid is a little bigger than the 94-95. Then again I have been wrong so many times with my car. Thanks to you guys i have been able to gain enough knowledge to take care of my car by my own. Matt... it does seem to be swappable though, so i'm not sure. As bcramer915 stated, " if ulook closely at the angle where the tail light meets the trunk....the 94-95 cuts in towards the middle of the car more". My trunk's side angles are a little straighter than those of the 94-95 period. I guess i'm gonna have to borrow someone's 94-95 trunk lid to test it out and see if it fits.

or you could just get the one at the junkyard, and try to sell it back if it doesn't work.

Heh... now there's an idea. Maybe I'll just ask one of my friends with a 94-95 Accord to detach his trunk lid and see if it fits. We'll see what happens next.
