my accord 5th gen. has over 150,000miles, should i put an jdm h22a or turbo it?I think it would be stupid to turbo something with that many miles but ya'll tell me. THANKS :cowboy:

It is a lot of miles, but if engine has been taken care of turbo will work. There is a guy with F22A and he had it turboed at like 180k or something and its going fine.
H22A is always an option, but damn it people you need to start turbocharging your F series motors more!

hey thats my opinion, Accords should stay accords why make an Aclude? When people ask you what motor you have because you just beat their ass wouldnt it be better to say it was the stock motor? than saying oh yea well i put a 'lude motor in it... i mean i know its all about power... but lets get these F's running, i figure I can get on the up side of 250hp out of my F engine so it all depends what you do to it.

I guys is running 7.8 psi daily on a f22a engine with over 200k miles. But it's up to you... DO you want to spend all that money on the h22a and get a new block, or do you want your block with a lot of miles on it and turbo it to beat h22s... And you can always get a new f22b1/2 bottom end...

Get the H22 it gives you a nice power boost and you could always build on that if you turbo the f22 you won't have much further to go if you want more speed.

umm on stock engine you can run up to around 220hp/tq, upgrade the internals and you can go up to 300-350 without too much more work...
h22 needs a lot more work on it before it can take the boost an f22 can due to thinner sidewalls and high compression ratio and such

if you do it right its it possible to get 15psi out of a f23 or ne Fseries motor? cause i got my f23 chillen waiting to get into something

yes, 15 psi is very feasible. Forged pistons and new sleeves will get you there. So about $800, and you can run 15 psi. Although you might want to get rods too..
And madmax, bullshit. The f22(especially if you have the f22ax block) can go far, the f23 even farther. I'd say you can make about 400whp before you start running out of things to do to your car.

.the only thing swaying me away from an f22 turbo is the unlegal-ness of it. i'd do it in a heartbeat instead of the h22a but greddy (who's turbo kits are all carb legal) doesn't make a kit for our car. we have a few peeps in here who'll be down so we should sign a petition for r&d on our engine huh...busting accord si-r would be nice but i'd rather turbo my f22...it's also a lil cheaper. i'd prolly run a apexi fms safc, whatever, thingy...
.quick hijack, which h22 will work best for the fifth gen 94-95 obd1 accord? is it the h22a1? i know the h22a2 is for newer preludes...done hijacking...

Really? Ours just opened not too long ago. Maybe it because of the weather over there in the east or something.

Yeah man it sucks when it comes to the Northeast opens late and closes early. I also put all new head pieces in it so I have to put some miles on it when it goes in in 2 WEEKS.

I didn't know they made disposable digi cams. I either use my Sony Cybershot, or my LG camera phone.

The lude motor will be a good choice if you decide on the motor, being that
theres more to do on a DOHC motor then to a SOHC, WHY is everyone so religious on swapping motors, THE MAIN POINT IS THAT ITS A HONDA MOTOR!!!!
If it was like a mitsubishi or mazda or ford toyota or what ever the F*@K then yeah we should all blow the car up, but as long as its not an imbred then all the power to ya, but ACCORD4Me has a point on the stock accord motor, I'De rather blow the doors of a DOHC accord with my SOHC F23 suckkers

i figure i can get about 250 NA horse power out of my F23A3 and maybe more, plus I dont sacrifice my torque by going smaller displacement like a 1.8 integra motor, or a 2.0 whatever motor. I agree about the fact that engines in a civic all the way to the TL have Honda stapmed on the head so there isnt that big of a deal... I just find it more fun to make a econo engine into a lude engine beater.

.haha i have the same setup haha...CYBERSHOTness and LGness!
.but yeah, i'd rather beat people in a true usdm accord. people would be like, "damn, got beat by a fat accord"...then they'd cry home to mommy for more money and a turbo with nawss and nfs underground2 to hone their skills haha...

.freal dude...it really works! it gets the nawss button timing down to a science. also, it'll get the impression permanently etched in your head that having a full crazy body kit, chrome twenny inch spinners and a fully customized trunk to hold that fatty system will still allow you to go fast...it's ok...it's jdm...

.yeah. i seem to be better at drifting in nfsu1 tho. i'm pimp with the fd3s..i've tried tuning it in nfsu2 to handle like it does in nfsu1. i think the game's crap but i like the driftingness...

F20B. its an f series, DOHC motor. sleep_accord is swapping one right now. i've got the f23a which is a strong motor and i love it but i long for a dual over-head cam.

the F23A3 is only .1 litre and 10 horses shy of Scions DOHC 2.4 VVT-i 160hp engine, so us F23A3 boys dont have mutch to complain about... I love my F series...
