I shouldn't even be reading this either, but i just found out, exactly 2 hours ago, that i wont have dreams of having the fastest street legal accord any more.

I got called into work at sam goody which is about 15 minuites away via car. its snowing out and the roads are bad so i left an hour early, i left at 4. I told them the roads were bad so ill go slow. 20 minuites into the drive, some tart in a 4x4 slowed down infront of me going down a hill and the only thing i could do was apply the brakes. my car spun out with my rear end drifting around to the right and my front end in the opposite lane now. i just missed the 4x4 yet here i am drifting sideways at 20 miles per hour. my front end jumps a curb on the other side of the road and i notice a nice fire hidrant coming towards my car. BANG, my passanger side hits it and i demolish the hidrant, with my passanger door and fender screwed up. i felt different and i looked down on my lap and my front passanger 400watt speaker was on my lap!

the frame is bent just a little between the passanger door and the fender. It looks fixable, but i dunno if the framework can be done for a price less then the car. my parents took off my collission coverage on my car a few weeks ago too because it was too expensive....

i defenitly need a new door and a new fender....im so sad now.

nah, there is no way how i could get the 4x4 for anything. i doubt he or she was doing it intentionally. so i think my car is fixable for around $2000. if its more than $3000 then im just going to keep the car the way it is and part it out and sell it.

yea, this weather sucks. i live on top of a mountain, and not realizing how bad the snow was, i thought i would take a little drive to pick up some stuff. well, as soon as i pull out of my parking spot i start sliding down this hill, luckly i was able to keep it slow enough and stop it, and then go across the hill instead of down. i parked a block away, and walked home.

dam sorry to hear that bro... i think if your fram is bent though, it is going to be better off parting out the car instead.. pulling a fram can cost a few bucks, an that is before you gotta buy everything else that needed to be replaced... atleast you were ok after all of this...
yeah you may want to just set the car aside and not even spend the money trying to get it repaired, and just part the whole thing out... you just might be able to get enough to go on your way with a new car, or (if you can afford it) set it aside as your own personal parts car and just buy another one anyway.

i still say you scrap it, an look for a new project to work on, even though you can find shops that will do it for cheap cheap the car will just never be the same.. but if you bought a new one, then you would already have all the parts for it, an this way all the money you make from work or selling the junked car will go into the new one there for giving you more stuff since you dont gotta rebuy everything... make since

hey now, but you dont get to learn the FF drifter skills because of the lack of snow. Seriously, I really knowing how to drive in the winter gives people valuable driving skills that can be brought to the track. I know there have been a bunch of rookie Pro race car drivers that are from WI.. the joke I kept hearing about how were getting all these guys in the big leages is because of the Mini van racing in the snow.. something like that. Shame on me if that relates to nascar.. I really forget where I heard this. I think Nascar is cool ... but come on... I get the same idea... they will also bitch about the "damn speeding kids" that were driving as fast as them, but didn't have the "20 years of experience" that they have. What a buncha crap. They'll probably pass a law that makes speeding a jail-time offense for people under 21 too. gotta love it!

Got info back from the body shop...
Needed replaced:
like 6 hinges
rocker pannel
front fender
sideskirt
passanger door w/o mirror
and a few other small things

there is small frame damage, but easily fixable according to the body shop. there is a large list of things that need to be fixed on my car because of the accident. The passanger side of my dashboard is messed up too but its fixable. My speaker was fine, it just needs to be re wired into the new door that will be installed. Everything will be competed by this friday!!! ISN"T THAT HELLA FAST??? i got in the accident on, i think friday night, and they will have it done by this coming froday so thats exactly 1 week!

The damage total is about $2,300 but i asked if i could get a discount for paying in cash and they are giving everything to me for $1,800! new door, new fender, labor, and everything painted and installed!!! my car will be fixed and on top of that, the few dents i had in the door before the accident are gone!! lol...

Im keeping this accord guys. This accident has stalled the creation of my 12 second accord by 4 months because of the money i will have to make back now.

thats great! Everyone loves paying in ca$h except uncle sam, he don't like that too much but fuck him if it saves you $500. :) I am happy for ya, its a shame that the problem happened at all, but still 1800 isn't bad to be back on your feet good as new. I'm glad you have the cash to cover it, right now if I fucked up my accord that badly I'd be SOL cuz I only have like 400 bucks. I gotta stop spending all of my damn money :)

my deductible is $250, and I currently don't have collision but I can add it for $120/yr. I think I'm going to add it, but haven't gotten around to it yet (since I don't have the car on the road yet its not a biggie.. but it will be soon). I have my insurance relatively cheap though since its on my parents' coverage and we have a total of like 25 automobiles on the policy :)

my insurance is under my rents policie still as well, that is only because it is so cheap to stay on theres for now... im only paying i think $110 for full coverage right now, an in another 3 months, it will drop like $25/$50 more.. so that is dope as hell... full coverage is deffinatly the way to go though, that way you your car an everyone in the car is prety much covered should anything happen...

that shaking if it is speed related is NOT the engine. The shaking we're talking about is when your car is idling, the entire engine shakes a little. I don't notice it much on my moms F22B2, but on my F22A6 it is definitely there. FAR more so on the AT than the MT though.

no my mount has been broken for hella days an same with the bracket that holds up the alternator.. so i finaly got aound to fixing them,, well the next morning the car ran for about 30 seconds an jsut chocked out big time.. i dunno.. it has not warmed up at all so i dont know.. im changing the gas filter in the mornin, an adding some heat to the fuel system to evaperate the water if that is what i might be,.... so well see.. it might be the dam alternator as well.. i got a new one on there, but you know hwo rebuit shit is someitimes

I dont think anyone can beat my story..Not that Im proud of doing what I ended up doing, but yeah anyhow just read.. basically, my girl friend at the time (this is over 2 years ago) deceids to spend the whole day pissing me off and then later that night comes in my car sits next to me and then tells me shes going to go spend time with her ex boy friend so instead of punching her I end up punching my windsheild... man I wish I had a picture of that. "SO I COULD KNOCK YOU OUt" as my hand swung straight forward an literaly smashed the intire windsheild to ish... after that she never naged again.. an we stayed together for another year or something like that.. an she was actualy impressed that i finaly got mad as hell.. an let it out infront of her..

ok, now i was under impression that the euro honda accord and the accord Type R all had a PCD of 5x114.3, not the 4x100 shown in the picture... im actually questioning if those rims are even actual honda wheels.. they look a lot like the tenzo copies with a honda cap on them... i know many companies make replicas that adapt with the honda OEM center cap
i was aslo under impression that the Civic type R also carried the 5 lug bolt pattern with a PCD of 5x114.3

all i know is that the rims came in the same crate that was marked accord... that is the crate i got my sir gauge cluster from... now if they are realy the accord ones, idunno... they might have been the 3rd gen integra rims... i heared the lug pattern is the same.. is this true??

i know how u feel dude. My accord got smashed bout couple months ago. I was pullin out of my work onto a two-lane-each-way road and this ass wanted to pull into where i was pullin out of. Well his ass decides to wait on me and i can't see behind his big ass truck. So i pull out thinkin its safe but boy was i wrong. there was a car behind him doin bout 45-50 mph and t-boned me in the rear drivers fender. Spun me round in a 360 and now my accords totaled. :(

sorry I'm late in this thread but I'm sorry about your car. On new years eve someone decided to use my 4th gen as a hockey puck fuck both front fenders passenger door dented to shit and would not open hood 2 huge dents. I just gave up and bought a new accord.

well, my accord is doin allright, the new door looks good and you can barely notice my car was in an accident except for the trim that is on the new door is a lil cracked up and my glove box is not straight. The new door makes a lot of ratteling noises when i accelerate due to my exhaust or when i blast music from my subs so im gonna have to find the problem and modify it.

i need to fix the window on the new door cuz it takes about 24 hours to open and close the window...heh

also my hood is a little off, there is more space over my right headlight then on the left and the hood isn't bent, when they took the hood off they must have aligned it wrong. i spent a day trying to align it right with those rubber things and i did a good job but its still noticable from the front.

Im keeping this accord. i dont care about show anyway, well, maybe just a little, im puttin a commando spoiler on in place of my old spoiler and im gettin rid of my chrome 17 inch antera's and puttin some high performance wheels and tires on.
