So what you guys think about aftermarket shift knobs? I was thinking about getting something plain and simple for my shifter/e-brake. I really dont like that ugly one our automatics come with.

i've been thinking about shortening my ebrake shifter actually, its long and doesnt really need to be pulled back all that far, even less so if you keep it nice and tight. for the shifter, i want a simple orb or whatever and just have a button on top or the side for the auto shifting but oh well, something i can spend money on later. plus i haven't really found much in the way of auto shift knobs that look good to me anyways

Yeah i know its fake and have no plans to use fake cf but thanx for the point in a direction. Out here we only have Autozone, Orielys, Napa, Advanced Auto and CarQuest and thats about it. Havent seen any goods at either.

what?!

.yeah having shorter throw on your ebrake will help you shift from parked to unparked quicker...that shorter throw will also give you a better 400m time hahaha...

yeah, basically its just because i dont like the giant stick in the way constantly, i always bang and hook crap on it when moving stuff around in my car. i wanna dye the plastic black then cut it off shorter or something i dunno yet, havnt decided, kinda busy with turbo project at the moment.

It just looks better short in my opinion. Damn e-brakes look like they belong on a generator or fuse box.

if you get a shift knob i would recommend a leather one since one of my boys had a type-r shift knob a burnt his hand every summer with the hot weather.

i was thinking about getting this one

I just ordered this shift knob from JCWhitney. The button is flush with the top. It comes in different colors and the cf top is fake but I like it.
