Ok this may sound like a dumb question but is it possible to swap an 03 v6 engine into my 01 i4, I'm asking this because I really want a manual tranny and I don't think it's worth it to put all that money into getting one with my stock engine, I also think that if I'm gonna do an engine swap why not go with the highest hp possible, I mean the h22 only has 200 the 03 v6 (sorry don't know the engine code on that one) has 240 and the option of a 6 speed manual. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

that swap is definately not a good idea. first of all the V6 engine will probably not fit into your engine bay. i doubt you'll ever find mounts for it. you'll also have to replace your enitre driveline, axels and all. and your front suspension will need replace due to the added weight of the V6. its going to cost so much money that you might as well buy a brand new accord V6. the h22a swap will be much more practical and benficial. you can esily get one with a manual transmission, it will cost considerably less to do the swap, the only thing you will have to replace besides your ecu and wiring harness will be the engine mounts. (custom mounts might be needed). just because the h22a has 40 less horsepower than the V6, don't think it can't perform. the h22a will be able to turn alot more rpm's than the v6, and it also has a tremendous amount ot potential. parts are available everywhere. I hope this helps.

not only is it not a good idea but it will cost u a CRAPLOAD of money to do it. U can put any engine into any car its just a matter of how much green u have lyin' around. Do the h22 and call it a day. you'll be much happier. There's a whole world of parts out there for that engine. More than there are for the v6 models thats a fact
