hello everyone, im planning on painting my ex valve cover blue. I would like some tips on wut paint to use. Would powder coating it work? i wanted to keep the Honda symbol and "V-Tech" lettering black, should i do this buy taping it off, or using a vasoline as a tape off?

any tips would be appreciated.

First sand the valve cover lightly with some high grit (fine) sand paper. The spay a light coat of promer on the newly sanded valve cover. The spray a few coats of any high temp paint on the valve cover. After it dries enough spray a few layers of clear coat (unless you used a high gloss paint). Then you can use a razor blade to carefully scrape the paint of the lettering that you don't want to be painter. Make sure you use the full edge of the blade and not the corners so you don't put scratches in the lettering. Good luck
