The Type-S has an ATTS traction system. 'Active Transfer Traction System'. I heard it makes it a biotch to swap into an accord. Don't know exactly why. I think its just wiring it. Mounts should be the same.

4 gees is a bit steep but if they pull it off without a hitch and everything goes good then go for it..

I heard the same thing about those motors, that they dont usually work out for accords, though we would think other wise. I cant tell you why, but I know Ive read it somewhere. but with time patience money and skill you can make any motor fit into anycar

The type S motor has an LSD, the type SH has the ATTS, two different systems, the preferred is the LSD, the ATTS is for handling and fails above 250bhp (read: shuts down) whereas the LSD does not. If you would like more details on the differences let me know and I will explain.

from what i heard about lsd is it sucks for autocrossing.

and id rather have the basic h22 because of the high compression for the type s, i plan to have turbo and that would be a waste of money.

the atts is just what honda calls the lsd. they are the same thing. the only difference is the model name in japan. the type sh is the us version of the japanese type s.

werd, I know someone with a Type-S and a another guy with a Euro-R. They poured some hardcore cash into these motors and the Euro-R only dynoed at 189hp while the Type-S wasn't any faster than a lightly modded H22 Accord. The Type-S guy eventually turbo'd but blew his block really quick. I would just get a reg H22 and keep the JDM transmission and install an LSD.

i thought the atts system was the problem with swapping in lude sh engines into accords, can't remember y but it's in scc's install guide

189 wheel hp sounds just about right for the h22, with some mods. the type-s is only 20 horse more than the base h22. this is gained from the bump in compression, which is why that buy blew his up. high compression + turbo = bad.
