.it all depends on the drop you want/are comfy with. i have neuspeed race's now. i love the way the drop looks but i'm in cali so the roads suck tarmac. i shoulda got the neuspeed sports but now i'm debating from the shoguns coil sleeves, the ground control sleeves and the neuspeed sport springs...argh...

OMG!!! The Tein Street Perfomance are that MUCH????
That's money that can go towards my engine swap, but I do want them though. I wonder if I can get them cheaper somewhere else???
What's up with the Shoguns, are they any good cuz they're around my price range righ now but don't want to get into a race and find out that they're crap?!?!?

You can take a look at the file linked in my sig, it should help you kinda figure out at least what options you have. If you want direct answers to your questions:

The best shocks? Koni Yellows
The best springs? probably H&R or Neuspeed Sport or Race, or Eibach Pro-Kits
The best coilovers? Full coilovers? Probably high end Tein or Apex'i N1.

but there's so much more to it than that, man.
