Hey! I drive a modified '94 Accord EX [5-Speed] with the stock F22. It should redline at 6200 RPM but for the past few months it has redlined at 5500 RPM. I've never upgraded or replaced the stock ECU. I've tried resetting the ECU by disconnecting the battery but it didn't solve the problem. What seems to be the problem?

what do you mean it redlines at 5500 do you mean you can't go any higher on the tach than 5500? if that is the case what does the tach say when you are idleing? B/c i had something like that happen to me about 30k miles ago, before i was in my accident and i went to a shop and asked them and they said that my tach was off a little and i had them fix it!! not really sure what they did to fix it. I'll ask them and get back to you, but it could just be that your tach is misreading the motor!! if the makes sense to you! lol

Makes sense, but my tach is correct. It idles where it should but what I mean is it cannot go any higher than 5500 RPM which it used to.

i would take it to a shop or a honda dealership and have someone ride with you or drive it and let them tell you what they think it is!
