I have a 95 accord with 170,000 miles and all the average bolt-ons. I was thinking about selling my car but then decided to make an engine swap. I heard the h22 swap was a pretty easy process but after talking to some mechanics i have become a little lost. If you have actually had your accord engine swapped with an h22 please let me know whats going on. :-)

If you know how to pull your old motor, change the parts that will be needed to be changed when doing a swap, and possibally another set of hands at some times is a big help. Then you should be able to do it yourself, as for the wiring of it, thats the hard part, if you know how to read wiring diag. and have the right tools to do it, then youll be set to do a motor swap....and expect more time than you think.........

It's a good solid swap to do. It's one of the more straight forward Honda Swaps. Anyone with basica automotive knolwedge and the right tools should be able to do it.

Putting the h22a into an obd1 5th gen is extremely easy. Wiring is simple, removal/installation of motor is simple.... honestly i dont know why people pay to get the're swap done. Just make sure u drain all the fluids and have everything disconnected before removal, the opposite for installion.
