I don't know why I'm asking this, but does the S2k's f20c motor fit into any other Honda? I guess that's a dumb question, since the f20c has a RWD tranny, not a transaxle....but you would think that wouldn't stop people. People waste their time putting an NSX motor into eg hatches, so why not convert the drivetrain to handle a f20c? I would be impressed if I saw one in a civic or accord (more so for the accord lol), but I mean - I haven't seen/heard any instances where people have tried...but if anyone else has, I'd love to see pics or something.

i dont understand why u could work it...using the engine alone....fabricating the right parts for front wheel drive use....i just read in turbo magazine where a guy put a built turbo eclipse engine in the back of his porsche....if someone can do that...i dont see why u cant put a f20c into an accord....w/ the right amount of money of course...but thats comes along w/ anything

well just to get the motor fitted wth a custom transmission you are looking at around $10.k at least that is what i was quoted so far.... im sure that there are places that can do it for half the price, but cheaper is not always better... i was trying to study up on it an see if you would be able to fit the h22 trannie on there since it is an f series motor anyway... (cause the f22 an h22 can be changed with each other) so why not the f20 an the h22 right..?? but yeah it woud be tight as hell to custom fabricate that motor to fit the accord, better yet to make the accord RWD... :D dam they say money can't buy happienes but it would shure buy mine if i was able to do that....lol..

yeah i forgot for a sec that those crazy japs put the f20c in sideways, not that it matters since everything has to be redone anyways

I'm not talking about taking the RWD tranny off the f20c and giving it a transaxle - that's rediculous....I mean convering the accord to handle a RWD tranny - which I know is much cheaper.

And the reason the f20c is mounted sideways is because it has a full-fledged RWD tranny attached to it. It's mounted like all other RWD cars, but most RWD cars don't have 4cyl. I could explain this further, but I hope all of you know what I mean.

i know what you were talking about.... just if you werer going o try an make it a RWD (the accord that is) then you are lookin at just about the same amount of money if not alot more to do that as it would be to make the f20c a FWD... you are not ony going to have to redo the hole intire steering set up, but you are going to have to redo the rear suspention as well as have a custom driveshaft built to acomadate the slightly longer body, do custom work to the firewall/interior to fit the trannie, an also have to figure out how to relocate the echasut system... it is possible, i have already been researching it can you tell... it will just cost alot more to do it... :D

Wow i can only dream of ever getting this engine. It may jus be the fact that every magazine these days have an article on the WRX but has anyone considered making an AWD accord? I'm sure this would put the overall cost into the range of ur better off getting a new car. But if i had that type of cash to throw around i'd get it done.... do u think the H22 is powerfull enough to handle a swith to AWD, not like i'll ever be able to do it.

wasn't there an awd euro accord powered by an F20? if so, could most/all of the drivetrain be transfered to a us accord? or maybe it would be cheaper to get the euro accord, and fit and mold on the 5th gen body. they had to have been similar in size.
