I have a 95 Accord EX. I wanna paint the dash bezel thing, but i can't figure out how to get it off. This the thing that is on the dash where all the buttons are just to make sure we r on the same page. I need to know how to get this off. i know there r screws behind some of the buttons but when i take them all out i still can't get it off so i was wondering what i am missing. Thanxs for any help.

If you'rew talking about the part ithink you are talking about there are two screws under the cupholder (which just lifts out) and two more screws under a removable panel in the center console box.

no that is not the part i am talking about, i am talkin about the piece behind like the steering wheel and stuff the thing that surrounds the gauges. The piece that has the heater controls and vents in it.

its a real pain in the ass to get off, but start with the console 2 screws by the seat belt clips, 2 inside the console under a cover, and 3 under the cupholders. once that is off you can take off the black piece that is around the stereo- 2 screws under the console piece, one behind the ash tray, and clips around the top. with that piece off, you'll see 2 screws a little above where the hazard and fog light buttons were. there are also 2 screws that you can see without taking anything off that go from the piece you want to take off, up to the top of the dash, right above the guages. i didn't disconnect the heater controls from the panel when i worked on my guages, so i'm not too sure how that all works.

matts got just about all of the screws, but i think you forgot to mention the ones behind the rear window defrost switch, an the cruis control, an then the two at the top of the bezel itself... also you might have to remove the plastic peice below the stearing wheel to take out the center consul ish as well.. it is a pain in the ass the first couple tmes you do it, but it will become a 5 minute job in no time once you do it a few times...lol... trust me on that one... an dont be scared if you end up with a few extra screws when you get it all back together either, that always happens, just add them to the "what the hell is this for pile"...lmao :D

also when painting the bezel area, makeure that you sand it good to make a good surface for the paint to stick to, that way you dont have it chipping off on you in a couple weeks... if you wanted to you can use the same primers a paints used for bumpers... jus a helpfull tip for you.. good luck
