I buy craftsman cause its been the cheapest and most reliable for me. Snap on and Matco always try to make me buy shit. I like Matco out of those two cause the dealer is more down to earth and dosnt care if I dont want to buy anything.
I dont like the local snapon guy here. I like snapon tools, but the snapon guys been a dick so me and my fellow workers at downtown autobody tend to prank call the snap on guy. I hope I never grow up!

man, i work at sears.... i sell hardware for a living...
honestly, when it comes to hand tools, get the best buy.. get whatever brand is cheaper and has a better warranty... personally, im not a fan of husky tools. for me, its either Craftsman, Matco, or Snap-on.... i prefer craftsman since im so close to a sears... and i dont want to have to catch a truck to get snapon... each company has tools that the other might not get..
what im basically saying is... dont limit urself to one brand...
i myself have all craftsman hand tools and Ingersol Rand Pneumatic tools and couldnt be happier

I need to start investing in air tools. I should sucker my parents into getting me some because Im always changing tires for them along with doing most of the car maintence for them free of charge.

i think im just gonna stick w/ craftsman...best price and an unconditional guarantee is perfect....w/ snap-on if they find ANY signs of improper use....u cant get the part replaced....so...u cant use that hammer to help break that bolt loose or else it would void a warranty....im not a fan of that....ill go w/ snap-on for specialty tools or ones that i think would perform better....but for basic every day use tools...craftsman is my choice

well as some of you know i go to college for auto and i had to buy tools for my classes. i bought about 2k in snap off tools and i really wasn'y happy with what i got or the customer service i got either. i will be taking my bussiness some where else in the future but i won't buy craftsmen tool for work there good for around the house but it has been proven at my job that crasftmen wrenches round off nuts and bolts more often then other major names. im gonna test the water with mac or matco. p.s if you guys want tools i get a student discount from most major tool companys while im attending school

Yeah thats whats awesome about going to school for cars, they give you insain discounts, what is it, I remember I could have gotten a 6grand tool set for just under 3grand when I took automotive classes.
I wonder if this still applies for students at major universities not going for automotive repair.
