I heard from some guy that the US ones have glass and the others are plastic and they use lighter metal.

I don't want to trick out my 89, since it is a waste of money. I plan on buying a 94-97 accord I have saved 6g to trick it out. Headlights are cheap and I like the looks of the all clear ones.

i sugest that you keep saving the money then for the 5th gen an dont waist the time putting into the 89.... you should be able to pick up a good strong 5th gen for like $4000. privatley with somewhat low miles i would think in your area... dont know what they go for though out that way... i just picked a 5th up for $2600.. so look around you will find a good deal i know you will... :)

I am not TRICKing out my 89

I found 95 EX for $1200 but it sold it had body damage but I was going to put a body kit, fenders, and hood so it wouldn't have mattered.

dam $1200 aint bad at all i got my lx for $2600 an i might get a dx coupe for $1700.... at least you had the vtec... but my engine would be better for boosting you know lower compresion an all....but still 1200 was the body hella bad or no...

yea all accord motors.. in the US that is... vtec or not .. both have low compression.. and both just as good to boost.. but even if it was high compression.. and u wanna boost.. u wanna replace ur internals anyways.. so it really doesnt matter if its low or high compression in the long run.. see u have low compression now.. and u boost.. and if u wana boost more. u gonna have to swap pistons and waht not.. so u get another set of low compression pistons but stonger.. see what i am getting at...

The frame wasn't bent so I consider that a positive.
