LET ME CLEAR THIS UP FOR THE LAST TIME!!!!!! The 91 accord ex, se, canadian ser and exr all have 140 hp due to the Intake Air bypass system, which worked like vtec in the sense it opened up at high rpm to give it more hp

it just let more air in. it didnt change the came height like vtec

and let me clear this up se has the same motor as lx and dx

f22a1 is in dx and f22a4 is in lx
the only differences is the intake mani and the camshaft is alittle more aggressive in the f22a6

the f22a6 was used in 92-93 ex n se not 90-91 models ex, se, lx, dx

i have an f22a1 and that's in my 90 lx coupe. if it's the same motor, then it's 125 hp and 137 lbs of tq.

Halfros, my 91 SE has its original F22A6. In the EX/SE's the A6 was used for 90-93 i believe, and the DX had the A1 and the LX had the A4. Now, im not sure about those DX/LX statments that I made, but I am absolutely positive that my 91 Accord SE has its original F22A6 motor in it.

Case in point, the 90-91 SE's did have the A6 in them, at least my Vin code "J" one does.

well i ain't tryin tell u what u got lol but as far as heard n have read they didn't, anything is possible though but if they didn't n u got one in there n it's original lucky u n u might have sumthin special worth extra dough if they made that "mistake" maybe u have a prototype i dunno but congrats, lol

Actually, sorry to butt in, I joined to be able to post a confirmation to this. I own a silver 91 SE, and it does come with an F22a6, which is not a legendary powerhouse or anything, but it sure cruises nicely. It's standard on the 91 SE, and I believe on the 92-93 EX and SE accords. They came that way from the factory, and it's a pain to find parts! They keep giving me F22a4 parts! (i.e. Thermostat housing cover)

Also, that's great, Those old SE models are rare. =)

90-91 accord lx has 130, 92-93, they dropped the third engine (the 130) so it uses the dx engine, 125
